I have decided to at least get a new groupset. Shimano 105 with at least a 30t cog on the cassette. No-one ever finishes a ride wishing they had a higher gear, but a couple of extra clicks into a lower gear on a hill is what we all really want.

Always like hearing about Arran adventures. Maybe one day I might be capable of a single.

Still to put on new pedals so I will find out how they perform compared to my mountain bike. I suspect I will get cross with car drivers (we know the ones). Chung I am way down that slippery slope as this is bike number four; Cannondale, Giant mtb, Dawes shopping bike (carries a weekly shop) and the new Raleigh.

Got a new bicycle specifically for the commute. Will take suggestions on what to change on the Cannondale now that it will not get so worn our.

I will try and get the night off. I will post again soon.

I had to swap my day off and will be working.

What time at the bridge?

Parents night at the school for me now, clearly an unacceptable situation. Surely as the chair of the parent council I should get some sort of preferential treatment? I will be found somewhere in a huff.

I need to be sensible after several days of being quite unwell and not ride this one. I will be down to help out though. Will I bring cake?

I should be out on Saturday 25th and 1 April. So that clearly suits me, as I am interested in how I shall fare in the TT points and missing one less must help. For anyone unsure if the confined events are for them come along to a few this season and realise how good you are.

Good turnout today for all groups, the catering was very welcome and well done. Excellent JWCC awards presentation, it made the BAFTAs look amateurish and low budget.

Out on the school trip as a responsible parent (no laughing at the back!)
