  1. Just shout 'shut up legs' louder than your legs can shout. Have a great run at it.
  2. I was starting later and just planning a quick blast down to Largs returning over Brisbane Glen. I will be at the clubrooms for 1000h. Not sure if there will be time for cake, a heresy of grave magnitude!
  3. I am looking to get out on Friday, no specific route as yet, I just need to be home for 1500h for school run. Where to meet?
  4. Thank very much to our holdup and timekeepers, our event relies on you. The going was good for tonight, I just did not seem to be able to make the most of it, hopefully the settled weather will be around for another week and another try.
  5. Aaarrgghhh...the list of goodies I have NOT eaten at work today.
  6. That was an excellent and informative evening with lots of delicious bits to eat. Thank you to Tracey for all of your hard work and letting Colin out for the evening. I will certainly be trying to put some of it to good use.
  7. Break out the sunscreen, bunk off for the day and meet at 0905 at the south end of the bridge. Khyber, Strathblane, Killearn, Fintry Crow and back. I am sure a cafe can be found somewhere en route.
  8. I plan on being there to ride. It should be a good night for anyone new or returning to the Westferry course, the weather is going to be lovely, it is well before dusk and as it is a dual carriageway there is plenty of room for traffic to pass.
  9. Lots of good times for tonight, congratulations to all. Very quick on the way out, with Strava giving me best times on all of the outward leg, but the wind was only really bad on the exposed sections on the return. Thank you to Carol and Dave for officiating and to Ian for his very steady hold up. Also thank you to Alan for pointing out that was a P.B. for me tonight and that included a bit of a holdup at the Newark roundabout!
  10. I will be there, the weather looks very promising.
  11. Sounds like a good evening, I will pop down.
  12. Thank you very much to Eric and Al for rescuing tonight's T.T., excellent job on the hold up, start and finish. Not as slow a night as I thought it would be, the wind did not really cause any problems. The cold air though, you never quite warm up and you feel it in your legs. A better time time for next week?
  13. It would be sad to miss out and I still intend to ride, but can we decide on what is happening before 1700h.
  14. The weather looks a bit undecided, certainly expected to be dry in the morning. Heading out from Erskine, then to Bishopton and along Old Greenock Road then a dash along to get the ferry to Kilkreggan. If the weather is fine then the road round to Coulport and over into Glen Fruin and return to the bridge, if the weather looks a bit pants then maybe look at alternatives from the ferry. Post up if coming and where to meet, I expect to be at the bottom if the Clune at 0930.
  15. Much better night than previous weeks and it shows in the times. Still a lot of work to be done both on my bike and mainly my fitness. Always a big thank you to the officials, Mike and Ian for holding up and timing.
  16. I do not know about the others, but I could not help thinking about the risk of heat exhaustion, dehydration and sunburn throughout todays cycle. Mainly when I will get the chance to watch out for them after whoever stole springtime hands it back! As always warm company more than compensated for it all.
  17. Clubrooms for 0930 then Bowfield, Dunlop and to Stewarton. Choice of going over past Whitlees and through Newton Mearns, past the dams to return home or another route if anyone has a preference. Cake and coffee addictions will be placated. Post up if coming.
  18. May the wind be on your back, have a good run.
  19. I will be down for this one, a good distance with good company will be good for me.
  20. I will be there, I wonder if we could have even more of a headwind!
  21. Only the hardcore go out in conditions like tonight, including the timekeepers, so a big thanks there. Good to see a new Jet in Joseph, only a matter of time before you will show everyone else how it is done.
