  1. Congratulations to Richard, the club must be saving a fortune on engraving by now. Big thank you to Ian and John for officiating. Absolutely fantastic night to be out of breath with burning legs, sore lungs and flopping nasal excretions about yourself. Love it.
  2. Linda is most welcome, I just needed it to come from you so there was no confusion.
  3. Just a quick update as what my plans are. Sadly Carol has decided not to do the Etape because of a nasty bug she has endured for a few weeks, you will be missed at the weekend. I will be in the Amaretto car park at 1330h on the Saturday to pick up bikes and people. Except Chung, it makes more sense to pick you up from Newton Mearns, to guide me there I believe there is something like the Bat Signal, but with a Campagnolo logo. From there it is down to Kettlewell where I have a table booked for 1900h for eight of us. Post up if this fits in with you.
  4. Meeting at the small roundabout in Houston for 0930 for a steady paced ride up and down the local hills. Anyone welcome, it is the JWCC way.
  5. I will ride, but I will not be in contention. Can someone arrange for the weather to be warmer?
  6. First TT in a long time for me and I felt it all of the way. Good to see everyone else tonight, we should start to see some warmer nights though.
  7. Did someone mention Tuesday! I will be there to show everyone else how not to do it.
  8. I will book a table at the Kings Head Inn for eight of us at seven.
  9. I am starting to think a bit more about times for organising myself for this, both driving down and getting to the start. The drive down is about three and a half hours, but with whatever pick ups I am doing to collect everyone I am adding on an extra hour. We surely want to have a relaxed evening beforehand, so shall we book a table somewhere for dinner? Once that is agreed I can then let everyone know where and when we can get ourselves and our bikes loaded up. I certainly have stuff to organise in the morning and I expect others will too so my expectation is to start out at about one o’clock, which should allow plenty of time. On the morning we have a fifteen minute drive to the start, but I expect no matter what time we aim for parking will not be easy. I am up for leaving Kettlewell at half seven and hopefully be riding around eight after signing on, a voice of experience will be helpful on this though. As for returning back, I will let that resolve itself when it happens. Please let me know what you expect and need so we can organise ourselves.
  10. My bike rack is full, however I am open to the idea of taking off the wheels and seeing how much I can fit in the boot.
  11. Good to be out, glad of the miles in with a good bunch. Must work harder though.

    Grease

Who recommends which grease, been using Fenwicks but there must be something better.
  13. I may be at the Red Smiddy and see how I get on, not quite shifting this manky chesty thingy that I have had lately. If I do get as far as Largs then I at least owe Charlie a coffee.
  14. Four riders today on a fresh spring morning. Three riders new to the course and our experienced V60. Alan T. 29.55 Sam 28.17 pb Colin 27.17 pb Stewart 26.29 pb Well done to all.
  15. Is it possible to look at a basic bike fit?
  16. I will timekeep and get to wear warm clothes.
  17. I will be there to ride but will gladly timekeep if needed.
  18. Great day out in the sunshine. Big thanks for giving wheels to follow, I really needed them today.
  19. Unlikely to be there, so have a good ride on the day.
  20. Clubrooms at 1230, track to Morrison’s then Barrochan Road. Should allow for at least one mechanical on the way.
  21. Get some nice pictures and enjoy it. One day I may get back out on the big hills.
  22. I have walking ones too if needed, they have different toe spikes to climbing ones, also a walking axe. I also, have boots that are compatible and comfortable, size 43. What are you planning on, it sounds like a bit of an adventure?
