Hope to be there.  Would be good to get back into a routine of all meeting at the club house and heading off as a single bunch.

When were you last out? Club HQ now at Erskine Bridge 🤣

Colin, I’m not fussed where we go but road back from Sinclair St to bridge is mental.

  2. Hi Mark,

I tried Zwift when it first came out and just thought it was a video game although I believe it now has lots of structured training plans and, if it’s your thing, you can race other people on it and shout “drink my pain shakes” and “you suck” at your adversaries. You could do that while on your bike outdoors too though...

Trainer Road is more analytical and less gimmicky. Over a thousand workouts as well as training plans for sportive, road race, TT, etc.

You will have to do one of their FTP/Ramp tests before you start a plan. 😩

I have a Wahoo Kickr and find it great for structured training that my coach sends me. The only downside is that as it’s more accurate than my old Tacx Flow my watts are way down on what they were.

You could always watch YouTube videos of fluffy kittens on your big telly or repeats of Open All Hours, just to take your mind off the pain.

Really was a spectacular day... the weather and scenery were incredible, the food, ooft… Fillet steak wraps from Gerrard, Cullen Skink soup from Graham, Haggis n Scallops from Kenny Christie washed down with a lovely Merlot by AlanT and completed by a few pints in the Bishy Inn… 4 months of roon the coast to look forward to now, happy days Ohyadancer!

Yes but can go both clockwise and counter clockwise to break the monotony.

Firstly I don’t support either of the ugly sisters but apart from European games Celtic play

    23/11 Livingston

    4/12 Hamilton

    15/12 Hibs

First two I would doubt you would have an issue getting a ticket for any part of the ground, however entertainment value of those games would be nil so corporate or paid / free bar tickets would be a most

With the Hibs game it could be better to watch but unlikely to be a sell out so tickets will be available though there will be more demand, I also found Celtic ticket office fairly accommodating when it’s for visiting fans so have a chat with them, last plus the corporate will be cheaper for Livi and Hamilton

A St Mirren fan commenting on entertainment value...,

Just phone Celtic Park. Wait 40 mins to speak to John Paul or Rosheen who will likely tell you to buy tickets online.

Best not discuss Cxxxxc on here. I was reported for doing so and deemed guilty of sectarian behaviour by our committee.

Ah ken where it is G, are you suggesting my memory is failing in old age and I can't remember as far back as Feb this year

No. I’m suggesting you might not want to stay next to Billy which will leave me stuck with him & Charlie.

  6. Will be going the Friday too. Unsure when, if ever, I will return.

Try to get digs near Billy’s gaff on Calle Escorpione. Means we can meet up for breakfast and evening games of bridge and canasta. t’s near the big roundabout in Punta Prima that has a McDonalds next to it.

Yip I'd be up for Friday early as well, need to see what others are thinking. There is a Ryanair option at 6am Saturday from Prestwick and return to there on Wednesday. Price for bike is higher but flights cheaper, ends up 6 and 1/2 dozen.

Yes but then you miss out on a full day in my awesome company-all to yourself.
