    Spied a Wheeler

    It was indeed Greig :-)
  3. Fast race today-lots of very quick ladies! Headwinds and heavy rain, but thankfully not cold. Got lapped Finished 3rd last, but left it all out on the course so wasn't anything else in the tank. Onwards and upwards hopefully! Was a great 1st race, and hats off to ggcc for a great event. Thanks for all the support guys :-) Hope everyone that went had a great run round Arran.
  4. Hi Boyd, not sure if this is on your route, but Stewarton Rd between the turn-off for the A77/M77 and Whitecraigs rugby club is closed for re-surfacing.
  5. Cheers Jody! Yay! Good on ya Carol :-) Will see you and Jann up there tomorrow.

I was indeed Greg-was running late so had it in the car.

Spied two Wheelers earning the danger money cycling down the Hurlet Rd about 9am today, possibly Greg and Elaine S?
  8. So, Arran didn't quite work out today-fire engines were called to the ferry. So having cycled down to Ardrossan, Graham and I headed of to the Bagel Basket, where we met up with the main bunch :-) Headed home over the Haylie Brae, onto the track at Kilbirnie, where we split off from the bunch and got a coffee at Castle Semple. Thanks very much for the company Graham and thanks for the tow Mark!
  9. Not sure Craig, but I think Graham and myself are aiming to get the 16:40 ferry back from Arran. The ferries seem a bit infrequent on Sundays unfortunately.
  10. Hi Mary, how you doing? Are you doing The Westferry tt next week?
  11. Hi Graham, I might drive to Ardrossan and do the figure of 8. Haven't done either so would be happy either way-bit divided like yourself. What do you think?
  12. Cheers Boyd :-) Hope you have a great ride in Ireland and I'm sure you'll be a credit to the blue and yellow :-)
  13. Hi guys, CTC are running rides round Arran this Sunday- a 56 mile circuit and a 72 mile figure-of-8. I've never ridden round Arran before or joined any of the CTC rides, and I know Graham and John had a possible plan to head for Dunoon this Sunday for an Intermediate ride, but would anyone fancy meeting up with CTC at Ardrossan in time to catch the 9:45 ferry? The link is http://www.ctcglasgow.org.uk/calendar/icalrepeat.detail/2014/05/04/82/-/special-arran-ride. Just a thought .
  14. Well done Alan! You were flying tonight!
  15. Beautiful evening for riding tonight. Thanks very much to Allan and Graham for timekeeping. Well done to all and thanks for the company :-)
  16. What option are you thinking of opting for Graham? I think I'll leave from Miller St, but haven't done the ride before so not too sure of the routes once at Dunoon.
  17. Hi Jody, as long as I get my bike fixed, I'll be out (as a 30 miler/ intermediate).
  18. Hi Mark, what sort of level of cyclist are you looking for? I'm definitely interested, what's involved training-wise and what equipment is needed (heart rate, monitor, turbo etc)?
  19. Got a mechanical issue, so can't make it Hopefully will make it to one at some point! Good luck to all tonight :-)
