  2. Thanks for letting us know Ian, have a good time at the Wedding. Please note Mary's post about looking out for raffle prizes!
  3. Hi all, I have confirmed with Carol that the event is on The 14th November, have thanked her for spotting my deliberate mistake and will amend the error on the tickets!
  4. Hi Ramsey, The red Giant bike I borrowed out of the container may be small enough? It was a little large for me. It would be good to see it used. No saddle or pedals but was checked over by Graham and did me proud until I got my extra small Giant from Thomsons which I have been delighted with Jane
  5. Hi Jann, Ian Couttie and David Hazle have offered to time keep tonight on last weeks thread. It looks like James Maclaren is planning to attend.
  6. A very hotly contested competition! Winning time 20.59 for Carol and Dave, not a PB but they did not get a push off and knew they couldn't catch up with the Bunch rides. Next year it could be you taking the trophy.....?
  7. Ok, I will bring my chair and time keep so there is a prize to present in November. Maybe those going to Troon could take a detour?? Jane
  8. Hi Girls, Given in and having to pull out of this ride due to injury. Does anyone want to take up the challenge in my stead? Not sure if the entry is transferable but paid full whack and the charity don't get any of it. Race pack here at my home. I think entry is still open if you want to take a friend. http://humanrace.co.uk/events/cycling/cycletta-scotland Thanks Jane

Transferred to Bank. Missed Jann this week, but maybe you'll be there next week for the hill climb? Hill climb at 18:30 at Howwood next week - the nights are closing in so front and rear lights may be appropriate.
  10. Graham and I will be along to time keep. J
  11. Hi Billy, happy to help with signing on and any other admin after my practise on Sunday. Graham busy that day. Will supply some baking if required? Jane
  12. Have injured my achilles so doubtful that I can race now. Sorry
  13. Ok guys and gals, who else sticking their head above the parapet?? We need at least 5 other ladies posted to get it back in the newsworthy post !! silence on the topic for nearly a month.
  14. Ok, will make up the ladies numbers!, hope there are 8 faster.
  15. Thanks to James for suggesting a route and to Mary for support in avoiding West Glen. A lovely afternoon ride including a cake stop at 3 Sisters Bake on the way home. Thanks for waiting at the summit near Gleddoch, my log said 19.2 miles and 1500ft. Great company from Mary, Kate, Iain and James. Will plan another outing after Le Tour, Good luck in Cumbrae. Tandem trying available in August. Jane
  16. Thanks James, West Glen etc probably more hilly than I would choose but a good training ride. I'll give it a go, it's a nice day but a little windy for those on Katrine Capers. Looks like there will just be the three of us so see what Mary says. See you at 2 at the Pullman
  17. http://www.mapmyride.com/routes/view/445538260 Graham has created this route from Graham Hanley's instructions, he hopes to see you on Saturday. Jane
  18. Hi Guys, James Maclaren volunteered to come along with me on Saturday afternoon for a trip out. Any more takers? Arrangements to be confirmed but probably starting 14.00 from The Pullman Pub, Kilmacolm, not the Club rooms. Handy for the cycle track and parking if required. Weather looks dry and not quite as hot. Please post if you are interested. Jane
  19. Thanks Kenny and Iain, enjoyed my first solo TT and hope to do even better next week. PS saw Iain pay for Mary!
  20. planning to be there for my first solo TT, wave as you pass me!
  21. https://www.facebook.com/events/1410864945868052/?ref=3&ref_newsfeed_story_type=regular http://www.nextbike.co.uk/en/ Anyone fancy going?
  22. A great ride to cafe including one photo opportunity. Seemed harder returning to ferry. Thanks for the encouragement from the other groups. Will plan another soon.
  23. Thanks Mark, looks as though only Jann and I at the moment so should be plenty of lunch left!
  24. Thanks Al for the parking warning. Thanks Jann, the time allows for plenty of stops/photo opportunities and encouragement of novices, if we arrive at the cafe first then we can have extra coffee and cake before the other bunches. No problem if you want to pedal out or back with a keener group. Everyone welcome, especially potential new Wheelers.
  25. I hope there are some folk who would enjoy a social, slow pace ride from McInroy's Point Gourock Red Western ferry to Dunoon and then Strachur cafe for lunch and hopefully meeting up there with the Intermediate and Main bunches followed by a slow ride back to the ferry on the most direct and flattest route. We estimate this as about 36 miles from ferry to ferry. I am allowing 2 hours each way. If anyone wants to up their game they can come home with a different bunch and I would welcome all who want to join us back to the ferry after lunch. 10.40 ferry crossing out, return passenger ticket £5 from newsagents on Shore Street called Pauls Food and Wine, more expensive on the ferry! 94 Shore St, Gourock PA19 1RB Phone:01475 630997 Meet at 10.30am with bike and tickets at McInroy's Point, I shall drive down and leave the car nearby, not a lot of parking at the ferry. Great opportunity to experience a Club outing at an easy pace and for those who haven't been out much this season. Please post if you are coming along.
