Ian glad to hear it's "only" a broken thumb which considering the fact you flew about 20 feet in the air over barbed wire is good going. Hopefully the bike isn't damaged other than the wheels. Nice run today. Lots of roads I have never been on before and very easy going as it was all downhill apparently. Bonus of escaping Neilston alive but still cant get the banjo music out of my head.

Revolution cross. Sold by Edinburgh Bike Company. Built like tanks. Dual brake controls so you can stay on the flat section of the bars if you want. Triple chainset will take you up anything and will take mudguards, panniers etc. Also take up to at least 35 mm tyres. I have used mine off road and on road. I got mine second hand for £180. Can borrow for couple of days if you want.
