  2. Just a note of thanks to Mark for organising yesterdays run and providing the soup and to Greig and Elaine for the scones and tea. I think the idea of another mixed bunch run is a good one as there were a few 30 milers missing yesterday who would be more than up for it. Carol
  3. Billy, two more guinea pigs to give it a go. Carol and Dave

  12. In order to avoid clashing with the Glasgow 100 sportive routes, how about this tour of local villages: Millar Street 9.00am - track to Lochwinnoch, Kilbirnie, towards Beith, loop around to Barmill,Gateside Road,Greenacres and down Bowfield hill to Howwood, through village and back road to Weavers Cottage Kilbarchan, over hill to Bridge of Weir, Torr Road towards Kilmacolm and loop around Auchenfoil/Auchentiber Road and into Kilmacolm. Coffee stop and then options back to Johnstone. Approx. 35-40 miles. Who is coming out to play ? Dave

    Track Coaching

Myself and Carol turned up and Craig lent us a couple of bikes. We spent about an hour getting used to fixed gear etc although Carol was abit hesitant and she didn't like the fact there are no brakes!! Craig was already coaching a Glasgow group by this time so we received good help and advice from a David who used to hold the Scottish 10mile TT record some years ago. Takes abit getting used to especially the starting and stopping but a worthwhile trip and the weather was dry. More should give it a go. David

  20. Thanks to John for todays run and route. Good teamwork from the Dunoon bunch helped to boost the speed and the mileage to +70miles. Checked the tyre and tube and both ripped. Must have run over the wheel nut which then caused the blowout. Grazed and bruised but i'll live to fight another day. Dave and Carol
