  2. Ah, didn't catch the name but it looked nice.
  3. What bike were you on David?
  4. Spied a male Wheeler at 1200hrs just leaving Howwood towards Johnstone riding a matt black carbon bike
  5. I was betting on Cav if it stayed together but no surprise the SKY boys got away. At least we'll see the jersey in the Tour. Big points for Richard with 2nd and 3rd!
  6. Yes indeed Thanks Jan
  7. Have a good one everyone. Away this weekend. I'm sure the turnout will do Jim proud
  8. I think it also didn't help not knowing how far along we were going....or maybe that's a good thing! Is there such a thing as being able to recover on Clune Hill before regrouping!
  9. British RR 1) Cavendish 2) Thomas 3) Swift
  10. Well...my chaingang debut didn't go as I'd hoped! My excuses are as follows: 1) Up at 4am with wee one this morning 2) Was busting a gut on a lunchtime fitness test at work 3) Haven't been on the bike for 2 weeks The writing was on the wall when my legs were burning with lactic on some uphill bits even before we hit the Westferry!! Found it increasingly hard, sloped off to the back and was then dangling on the end of the invisible elastic for a wee while but when that snapped, I was mentally finished. Didn't even have the energy to shout anything..sorry. Crawled along back to the car....and got lost. Might be my first and last time for a Thurs night!! There were some enjoyable bits though
  11. I'm a bit hit and miss with my shifts. If someone from the Glengarnock/Kilbirnie/Beith area could collect mine, that would be great. Likewise if I get there first. Just need to be able to pay via Paypal!
  12. Excellent. Unless I've missed something, I'm still needing the paypal details for paying. Thanks
  13. Hi Iain, I've got 9 sp Xenon on my winter bike which I'm obviously not using at the moment. I plan to build up a new 10 sp winter bike this year so you can have both levers no problem.
  14. Hoping to make my chaingang/paceline debut! Hope I won't be a spanner in a well oiled machine! Probably get shelled out as I've got a fitness test/run for work in the afternoon.
  15. Excellent news....pity I won't get on a club run for a while! Have the paypal details still to be passed out for paying? Thanks Jan

  17. Oh well...maybe it was a good while ago. He said he was 52 and I could only remember Mick. It was a good thing to hear though. Took me out of my misery for a short while!
  18. Hi folks, As I was returning to base today having climbed the Tourmalet and Luz Ardiden, I was riding through Luz St Saveur in my (well Kenny S's) Wheelers jersey when I heard, 'You're a long way from Paisley'. I then had a chat with a chap called Mick (completely forgotten his surname due to the state I was in) who said he was an ex Wheeler. Anyhoo....if he sounds familiar, he's doing well and currently working at Eurocamp in Luz.
  19. What a difference a position makes!!! Glad to edge ahead. My Pyrenean training must be paying off!!

  21. While I haven't made it along yet, but would like to depending on work/home, I would certainly welcome any 'easier' versions of the run as reading the comments has put me off a bit. I don't want to be a hindrance/danger...or get shouted at It's something I've never done before but would like to.
  22. Thanks Ramsay. I've not made it along to a chain gang yet but like the idea...work/home deciding if I can come along. After reading comments from last night, it's kind of put me off as I don't want to be a hindrance or danger. Hopefully these will help
  23. With regards to the Daupine...is it only the top 3 in the prologue and ITT we're guessing? Thanks
  24. Excellent Ben. Well done
  25. Thought I was being toppled when I saw you had Contador for the ITT. I'd read an interview where he said he was just going to take it easy so didn't pick him. If that was him taking it easy!!! Bring on the Dauphine!!
