  6. Hello all, I'd really like to update the club website with some pictures of members in their new kit, in order to promote our sponsors. Therefore, if you have any that you're willing to share and have posted to the website then send them to me at [email protected]. Cheers Allan

  8. Evans just posted some pictures of the run on the Langholm Sportive Facebook page, with 2 JWCC riders looking resplendent in their new kit in 3 of the 4 pictures posted. I hope you can get to this link https://www.facebook...regular&fref=nf
  9. Looks like Aldi will have another sale of cycling clothing etc starting from 4th May. I've never bought their products but I hear they get good reviews for the price. May be ideal for beginners or returners not looking to spend too much. Anyway, here's a link to Aldi https://www.aldi.co.uk/en/specialbuys/sunday-4th-may/, and here's a link to a RoadCC review http://road.cc/content/news/117615-aldi’s-latest-cycling-bargains-include-shorts-jerseys-convertible-jacketgilets. Cheers Allan
  10. Kenny, send an email to secretary@johnstone-wheelers and Jann will advise on what to do to complete your membership. Welcome aboard!
  11. I will try to get along for a beer before my 40th birthday dinner the same night I'd hate to miss the kind invitation from Alan & Martin.
  12. Well done Adam and to all who competed and/or helped out today. I've added a wee article to the JWCC website, but I am still determining the best way to display the pictures within the article. Bear with me. http://www.johnstone-wheelers.co.uk/events-wheelers/time-trials/restricted-gear-tt-results
  13. Here is a link to the Team Store page https://order.pactimo.com/

  17. Would anyone who took part in this years Don Smith care to jot down a few words as to how it went, prize winners etc for a small article for the club website? Any photos would be greatly appreciated also. Thanks Allan
  18. Richard, I have 6 x 10kg discs (Weider Olympian) you are welcome to. I'd be glad to get them out my spare room. I also have 14 smaller weight discs you're also welcome to. All free if you can collect. Allan
  19. Thanks Jann, however using the tool above, I have decided to go for the Cateye Volt 1200, which I can get on Wiggle for £132.00 I will run it past Dooleys to see if they can match the price.
  20. While looking for some guidance on a new front light I stumbled upon this useful comparison tool from Road cc. http://road.cc/lights2012/index-wide.php You can select two different lights to compare side by side, using a view of a country lane as a backdrop. There is a dividing bar that splits the image in two, showing one of your chosen lights on either side of the bar, but this can be moved to see more of the view from one light or the other. Hope it helps anyone looking for a new light. Allan
