  1. I have a garmin 500 for sale as well, if billy has sold his
  2. I bought the mio 505hc, it's pretty good and cheaper (upgrade from garmin 500)
  3. It's good for commuting gear But I plan to get into Thomsons for some proper gear soon. Ps where do I get club shorts/shirt from? and do we gave to get them?
  4. if anyone is cycling to Miller Street from Renfrew please get in touch, I'll be cycling from Inchinnan. Thanks
  5. Hi Tony I've been venturing out more along unknown roads and thought the garmin 800 might be good if I get lost. I set the breadcrumb route up via the garmin site the other day and I did follow it ok, I've never tried the GPX file way either. I'll plan Sundays route to Gourock in and see how I get on, my mums looking for something to buy for my upcoming 40th!
  6. Hi Boyd I'll be in for the run to Gourock but not onto Dunoon, I can only be away till early afternoon this time but fancy a run down the coast.
  7. Hi Charlie sorry someone else has dibs on the 500..your second on the list.
  8. Hello all I already have the garmin 500 but I'm thinking of getting the 800 or the 810. Does anyone use either of them? Worth the upgrade? Can you change a preplanned route when out or if you take a wrong turn will it automatically put you back on track? Hoping I can sell the 500 easy enough... thanks Kenny

  10. I'll be getting road shoes soon I'll take a visit into Thompsons and see what is there. How do I go about becoming a member of the club? I've been out on one run and will try and get out again this weekend. I've been overdoing it a little to try and complete the strava Specialized Spring Classics Challenge but getting there!

    Saturday 19th

Hello I can't make a run on Sunday but would like to try a 50 mile run on Saturday. Could anyone recommend a course that is fairly flat? (my first 50 miles run) I need to set off early around the 8am (Inchinnan) mark as I've got other commitments later in the day but could meet anyone on the way. At the moment I've got a run to largs plotted but there's a mother of a hill at the end! lol Inchinnan,Johnstone,Lochwinnoch,Kilbirnie, camphill reservoir,A760, Largs and back :-)
  13. Thanks for the run today, I ended up getting a lift to miller street but cycled it back to Inchinnan via Linwood/Houston totalling 43.6 miles so pleased with that. Is there a strava group for the club?
  14. Hi I'd like to join a run tomorrow to see what's it's like. I live in Inchinnan, any idea how long it'll take to cycle out to miller street? I've never been out on a club run so I'm a total newbie. I can do 30+ the most I've done on my own is 35ish but I was comfortable doing that. Cheers Kenny
