  1. It's just that i remember someone saying thag they either witnessed or came across it, but one of the guys involved is still in hospital and is trying to piece together what happened. I'm an friend of a friend of the chaps brother and had mentioned to him a while ago that someone had spoke about it, but I can't remember who

  2. I mind a few months back someone in the club mentioned an accident that happened on the track near Morrisons maybe a bit further up the track towards Elderslie between 2 cyclists that apparently looked a bit serious.. Can't quite remember who it was that mentioned it.. Does this jog anyones memory???

  3. It's a brilliant place to cycle Ramsay, but as Paul says, the nice roads are either up or down.. I stayed up near Los Gigantes too, its better than down near the bigger resorts where the roads out of town are very busy.. Depending on what you're after when youre not on the bike you might want to consider staying up in one of the villages in the hills.. Give me a shout if you want a chat about it

  4. Forecast for this Sunday looks great at the moment... dry, bright and cool....

anyone fancy a run out to Aberfoyle via Erskine Bridge, back road over to Croftamie, Pipe Track, Aberfoyle, Port of Mentieth, Arnprior, Fintry, Croftamie and back...

its about 70 miles bridge to bridge plus whatever you are to and from the bridge..

could be 9.30 or 10 at bridge, whatever suits people...

  5. Really was a spectacular day... the weather and scenery were incredible, the food, ooft… Fillet steak wraps from Gerrard, Cullen Skink soup from Graham, Haggis n Scallops from Kenny Christie washed down with a lovely Merlot by AlanT and completed by a few pints in the Bishy Inn… 4 months of roon the coast to look forward to now, happy days Ohyadancer!

We were most of the way up the climb anyway - didn't miss much! Roadside repair and then carried on, taking the rough track along by the reservoir for a short cut back to kilma for coffee.

Only 40km but a good wee run all the same.
