  9. Got a phone call at 11.15, threw the mountain bike in the car (road bike only has 1 tyre at present), stuck with the main group till half way between Howood and Lochwinnoch, then realized I had to be somewhere else very soon...oh, and also that my legs legs were bursting

  14. Martin, I assume you mean, if you're sober enough you'll be heading down to Gourock at 8'ish ? That would be good, i'd get you down to the ferry, then do a wee loop round by IBM, up the Whinhill and back home... Hopefully i can get out of work for a couple of hours tomorrow morning, and i'll see you at the Jets family day.... Ian.....

  16. I'm having to work Saturday, although i may try to nick out for an hour or so to go to the Jets family day....but come Sunday i think i may just nip out 8am'ish for a couple of hours to keep the peace

  19. Unfortunately i won't make the run, i'm staying up in Aberfoyle on the Sat night after the wedding , so will probably throw bike in the car and have a go at the Dukes Pass on Sunday ....... Hope the day goes well, and the weather is decent Cheers Ian McG...

Okay, so the forecast was so so wrong !! left Bish at 8.30am, glorious sunshine, got to Greenock and the rain started Ferry to Kilcreggan, got to Arrochar, totally soaked to the skin....pit stop to dry out......... headed off for the Rest, got half way round the loch, the rain was horizontal and we, or at least me, was freezing, decision time !!! 40 miles to DUNOON or 20 miles back to Kilcreggan....My choice, back to Kilcreggan, 1and 1/2 hour wait for the ferry back, so very indulgent cafe stop, 3 courser, Ferry time, then a wee tailwind back up the road......... 69.2 miles all round, SMASHIN

  22. Bill-T and myself are meeting at Gourock for the 10am ferry to Kilcreggan, heading up the Gaerloch, over the hill to Loch Long, up to Arrochar, Rest and be thankful, Hell's Glen , Strachur, Dunoon....... Forecast is crackin, if anyone else fancies joining us.............. Ian.......

  24. I'm unable to get out this Sunday, but am planning a reasonably long run on Saturday, with next week's Ayr 100 in mind.. Any company would be welcome, i'm thinking of riding to Gourock and jumping over to either Kilcreggan or Dunoon on the ferry and heading out from there..... Cheers Ian McGinty....
