Oh boy. Definitely worth cracking a beer open for this one. We get Strava premium free in Kilmacolm, it comes with the Farrow and Ball paint catalogue. or you can pay about two coffees per month to totally nerd out on segments. Join us down the rabbit hole. You know you want to. Take the red pill and see how the world really is...
  2. Hdmi/lightning cable as little as a tenner on Amazon so worth a punt.
  3. Do you know which connections are on your phone and back of TV? If your kit is new enough to have lightning on iPhone and hdmi on TV then a lightning/hdmi cable would be cheapest option although the Apple ones can still be £50. Streaming device would be more expensive but more versatile but again may only be able to plug into hdmi.

    Paul, frame it.
  5. I can dictate text using Apple TV which works very well half the time when voice recognition works, and garbled nonsense otherwise. It does not recognise a) bike terms or b) Scottish names. Lol. So apologies for the drivel. I went zwift racing last night and it dropped the connection in the last 5k as I was planning my glorious attack. Another first world problem ...
  6. Thanks Iain, I had not seen zwiftinsider before. Going down that rabbit hole now...
  7. Dear Uncle Iain I have done a few Zwift races. I tend to slither very quickly to the last third and find a slightly stronger rider to drag me to the final couple of k. I then reward them by going through very hard and trying to drop them before the finish. I usually gain a place, say from 40 to 39th. Am I flicking them or is appropriate virtual RR behaviour? It's certainly fun🤪
  8. Iain does your fluoro bike go “faster” or is it just cool?
  9. Tubeless tires are shredding on my summer bike so I had to put trainer tire on my winter bike then had to change pm cranks which are on my TT bike and I started all this when I got back from work at 1730 so you can imagine how all THAT went.... Going for a (distanced) run instead...
  10. Yes they are the only model left in the world cos they are so expensive! My rear standard road tryre is disintegrating. I've ordered trainer tyre instead to improve wear and grip. Saved £1170, which is nice.
  11. We missed your Darryl. Did you definitely sign up? I forgot until 10 mins beforehand. I completed it but can see now that my regular road tyre is disintegrating so I'll get a turbo tyre.
  12. Yes it is just getting stupid but a welcome distraction from one thing and another. I have crashed off rollers many times before but this was the first "weather-related" incident. Will also need to clean sealant from frame, seatpost and garage floor. Old puncture opened up. Wife has smart turbotrainer. I thought rollers would be minimal cool old skool but turbo may be less hassle
  13. Much lol. My pm did not register at start so I began about 1 minute after first group. Was overtaken after 10 mins by fast guys. Then 20 minutes of full gas with Brookes(thanks) before I felt rain on my back and slid off rollers. The tubeless tyre punctured and sprayed me and roller with sealant creating real life skid hazard. That was a sign to give up. Very silly.
  14. Thanks Iain. These can be a great workout. while staying in the bunch. Nice to see your names around me.
  15. Your choice.😀 If unsure then you're in first group.
  16. Excellent ride. I would prefer sticky if possible because otherwise I suspect there might be too broad a range of power. Some would find it very easy and some far too hard. Kudos to Darryl who beat me on the hill a few minutes after the club ride. Also it was quite cool to be passed by Rigoberto Uran. I assume it was the professional.
  17. Thanks Iain, hope to get home in time for this.
  18. Aaagh. I was waiting at the start when my pm battery decided to pack in. I think I am missing one ride in three due to Bluetooth/pm/phone problems. Still having beer though.....
  19. George, unless your turbo is badly calibrated then I don't think road feel makes any difference. It makes you change gears but power is same. Suggest you set up new account as a pixie or small elf. Anyway you were riding fine last night, I only held on for twenty seconds after you so you must be in great shape.
  20. The nice thing that lots of people are feeling hard done by on Zwift which suggests to me that it's probably fine. The higher the whining (from me), the higher the fairness. All good fun!
  21. Iain how much drafting effect is there? I am often sitting in a bunch working 0,5w/kg harder than those around me. Can you sense drafting on the turbo?
  22. how did you find dennis? can you track pro's?
