  1. Anyone up for some muddy fun tomorrow (Thursday) night? Parkhill again? Al
  2. That's the one, mind arrives tomorrow so will update then!
  3. Rich, that's about right re the change from a 48 to a 52, even on the same inches the 48 is easier to spin up and the 52 will roll better! I'm riding 49x14 and it spins along nicely, Ian, try it, you'll be fine. I was riding 50x14 in the C's, changed down towards the end in May, it helped. (FYI just did the pursuit and kilo on 50x14, Sprint/flying 200 + Kierin on 50x13)
  4. Prob Thurs nites plus some random others Em, bit of park skills practice somewhere, maybe Lochwinnoch or wherever you suggest. Also some parkhill woods, Muirshiel, Locher Wood, maybe Eggy Park? Any other ideas? Coach Mul, any comment
  5. Anyone else up for this. I'm entered. Gulp. Al
  6. Anybody up for some sometime after the 27th Oct? Prob on a Tuesday or a Thursday Al
  7. Bit more blog http://bigaldailygrind.blogspot.co.uk/2013/10/last-push-this-season.html?m=1

    October Training Plan

Andy, Decathlon and sometimes Lidl do cheap ones, Decathlon from about £12 to £40 I think
  10. I'm going to attempt a training blog for the next year. If you liked my last blog you might enjoy this. It'll be boring at times but that's the nature of The Grind. Some may be 'inspired', others may wince, but there should be some fun and laughs along the way http://bigaldailygrind.blogspot.co.uk/?m=1
  11. Would love to but need to not break myself in the next 2 weeks, will be up for these after that! Al
  12. No kebab sir, the curry, samosas and sandwiches were more than enough, and tasted fantastic!
  13. Good night, 6 Guinness, 3 red wine, 1 whiskey, lift home from Elaine and Ramsay!
  14. Duncan, philosophically the phrase "too many bikes" is a paradox! Resolution to the paradox could include phrases such as "we're going to need a bigger house/garage/shed", "merry Christmas, he'll grow into it", or "it's not you, it's me (and my bikes)"
  15. Anybody heading back in the Lochwinnoch direction afterwards? Al
  16. Fun night, if a little tough going at times! Alan T looking stronger and manoeuvring better in the D's, nice third for Ian I believe and some nice riding off the front by Alan in the C's, Paul refinding his legs in the B's. In the A's Richard is getting stronger, holding in the bunch nicely till the end of the 60 lap point race whilst I watched from the side after 40 laps of breaking off the front and chasing down breaks. In the Scratch I stayed near the front till the end, not too far away but slightly too far back to do damage on the final lap. The Devil (for the record my least favourite race and the one I'm usually second out in) went well, few close shaves in the first four eliminations, then moved up to the front and sat just above the red line 2 and 3 abreast till the last lap, then managed to jump the Edinburgh boys for a 250 solo sprint to victory! Probably never to be repeated but was riding it better tactically
  17. Not had it yet but don't worry, Janette's just snowed over with the Scottish, the draw for that just came out at 6 tonight
