  8. Mark, From the comments above there's obviously some background relating to concern around the kit but wouldn't think it beyond the manufacturer's ability to change the logos and bring the design in line with the rest of the kit for future orders Kenny
  9. The jerseys seem to be correct so maybe Al is wearing his skinsuit back to front :-)
  10. Does anyone else think that the logos on the shoulders are upside down or has Big Al found a few seconds by wearing his skinsuit back to front?
  11. Good taste, Charlie I'm sure I have one as well with a gilet (sleeveless) to match :-)))

    Spied a Wheeler

Noticed the bikes and thought 'what a wonderful idea'
  14. Iain, There was a 1km circuit there for months before the actual velodrome was completed. It wasn't available to use until the full facility was opened, at which time we found that, as they had done a few years previous at Bellahouston, Glasgow City Council had managed to mess up again and build a white elephant that's unsuitable for racing or high speed riding It is also currently being reduced in size as those on high have realised that the Velodrome access / egress is insufficient and additional access is being built towards the Dalmarnock Station end of the car park (across the circuit)
  15. Four of our Jets gained entry to the International Youth Tour at the weekend, organised by Cycling Development North West Danny Mulholland - Youth A Boys Sarah Bradford - Youth A Girls Jess Millar - Youth A Girls Lusia Steele - Youth B Girls The event is part of the BC National Series and is five stages over three days at closed circuit venues in Preston, Blackpool and Lancaster. (The facilities at Preston and Lancaster would make any Scottish cyclist weep) Being part of the National Series, this event attracts the best from the UK and Ireland and our youngsters represented the yellow and blue of Johnstone extremely well with consistent, attacking riding at the front of the respective bunches with the Jets joining the breaks, driving the bunch and featuring in the final sprints. The aggressive, thoughtful type of riding that the youngsters are being encouraged to produce A summary of the Tour is on the BC website http://www.britishcycling.org.uk/road/article/roa20140525-road-Latest-news-from-the-2014-North-West-Youth-Tour-0 with further info and a host of pics on the Jets Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/JohnstoneJets?ref=tn_tnmn As coaches, we know that we have other riders who can compete at this level and we'll look to take a larger Johnstone representation next year Full results are now available on the CDNW site http://www.cdnw.org/NWYT_Stage_Results.html
  16. Congratulations Al. Another mighty fine time Chapeau Mr Cowden on the PB !!
  17. David, I have a Specialized Pave and Felt carbon seat post if it's for the black Dooley's CX frame. I'm building Alana's just now and I just need to check heights. Will know later this evening but pretty sure I'll have one for you. I'll bring it tomorrow if you want to take it on a tour of the North East. Otherwise, you can get it when we get back Kenny
