  1. Hi Billy, I've entered this, so I'll see you there. Good idea to make a club run out of it too! cheers, Mark
  2. What a great run yesterday and an impressive turnout. I was told that Clarkston was cloudy all day, so we were really jammie to be sitting outside in the sun having lunch at Kames! Mark
  3. Tom was a real road man and was always there for the habble, or even starting it off. Very sad to hear this awful news.
  4. Hi Darryl. I’m keen for the bike, so hope to be out, as long as the body’s up for it! The club is looking very good these days Hi Kenny. Top marks for the Paisley race day – never thought I’d see such a big event in the town centre. Regarding the Endrust jersey, that wouldn’t be the same jersey that played a part in the crates of beer that fell off the back of the lorry incident, would it?! I’m free for lunch this Friday or next week, so just drop me a line whenever suits you? Cheers for now, Mark
  5. That’s a nostalgic picture Kenny. Me and my bro, Raymie, down at a rollers night, and Raymie holding up Mr Goldie, who’s ready to launch his sprint! The old jersey (80s and 90s) was a classic, I have to say
  6. Ah, you’re too modest Chung I’ve noticed that a bunch of the Joansin are doing the Nove Colli, and you have lovely jerseys made for the event too. That will be magic and I wish you all the best This would have been ideal for me; especially as some might say that I resemble El Pirata! Maybe next year!
  7. Things are good thanks Chung. How’s yourself and how’s the form? I bet you’re still dancing on the pedals while making it look easy I should be out this summer, so I’ll be in touch
  8. Definitely not recommending this, but it did make me laugh! http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article ... -road.html
  9. That’s a great report Gordon. Some ride by you to be only 1 second behind Herd. Stewart Addie was a demon sprinter – even up hill! Do you really keep a scrapbook with old reports? There’s an archive section on here where reports like this would be well appreciated -> viewforum.php?f=15

This is awful news, very sad indeed. RIP Jim.
  11. I’m just back from 4 days of perfect weather round the Ardnamurchan peninsula. I hope you guys get the same blue skies The A82 is a bugger of a road on the bike, but much safer in a bunch. It’s worth it though as the roads round Kingairloch are superb for the bike! Have a good one and I’ll think about joining you if it’s going to be an annual event. Cheers, Mark
  12. Hi Paul, I'll ride over and will be there before 9:30am. The weather forecast is very good cheers, Mark
  13. Good luck and all the very best guys. When Mr Mulholland gets out his 10 year old bottle of Jura’s finest on the ferry over, then stay well clear!!! ttfn, Mark p.s. make your move on the Bosberg Darryl!
  14. Hi Chung, Yes I'm good mate - how about yourself? How's the form? Yes I plan on being out with the bunch in a few weeks, so I'll see you soon! Take it easy now, Mark
  15. Hi Paul, How's it going?? Put me down as a marshal. I'll dig out the sunglasses as the sun normally shines for your races! Cheers for now, Mark
  16. I’ll be out next week for this one. Great route and a very keen bunch I’ll bring my alpine gears next time though!!! Take it easy, Mark
  17. Hi Paul, I'll make it along to the curry night as well! Cheers and see you there, Mark
  18. Hi Kenny, I'm hoping to make up the numbers and be there on Thursday as well. Cheers and take it easy M
  19. I can't make the APR tonight I should be fine for next Wednesday though and the following Thursdays as well. Have a blast all Mark
  20. Hi Kenny, Well done on starting up this event – what a great scene it’s turning out to be! Count me in for Wednesday. Cheers, Mark
  21. Hi Kenny, This sounds like a great race to do, with a great circuit. Is it going to be on every Thursday? I'll start coming along to help make up the numbers! Well done Darryl Cheers, Mark
  22. Hi Darryl, Aye that sounds like a plan. See you then then. Cheers, M
  23. Hi Darryl, Are you winning?! I'm up for a 4+ hour hilly but steady ride on Sunday morning. When and where do you propose on setting off? Cheers, Mark
  24. I’ve been to this hostel before. I remember it well – it’s the highest village in the country and the place was shrouded in cloud the whole time I was there. The (totally brutal) road race goes through the place as well, and there always seems to be lots of road kill about, so it’s a very atmospheric venue indeed! And it’s very hilly too! Count me in! M
  25. Simon - it was good to see another friendly Johnstone Wheeler face in this event! That's the wettest day I've had on the bike all year - even wetter than the Erskine century ride! Was still good though. It was good to see all the different sorts of weird and wonderful bikes being ridden, of which your tandem must rank as one of the most eye catching! Take it easy and see you for another sing song at the Arran weekend, if not before! Mark
