  1. Hi Dave You were spotted getting your last fix of haggis and neeps by Joyce at the Glasgow to Edinburgh run on Sunday quite fitting really as this was where Simon and I met you on your fixed wheel mountain bike and invited you along to join in the Sunday runs. Always good at spotting talent Anyway good luck in your new job, new profession, different country, new cycling club are you sure your not on the witness protection program All ways welcome back.
  2. Hi Simon That is great news really glad it has work out well for you and Jane, it's been a long hard slog Friday night's fine for me for curry night
  3. Yep, I'm up for Arran enjoyed the Auchranny Hotel but it does not bother me where we stay as long as the patters good and it always is this lot Count me in for the curry night and lets see some of the new guys from the Sunday bunch coming along for a good night out. An don't be shy about coming along on the Arran weekend it's a guaranteed great weekend
  4. Totally agree with all the earlier comments, it was great to see Harry looking so well and don't make it too long before getting back out with the bunch. And big Cristian looked as if he had never been away great to see you again The pace at times was a bit mad but the whole day was very enjoyable. A big thank you to Kenny and his team, the BarBQ at the end was great but how come I ended up with tongue and cold shoulder from Joyce.
  5. Pete Kenny Mac left his container keys for Triking Dave in the clubrooms on Sunday, they were hanging up under the main light awitch on the board. However he took the clubroom keys up to Dave Ridley after the Audax and may have dropped off the container keys at the same time? Check the clubrooms first or ask Big Dave.
  6. The only un paved section of the Linwood Kilmalcolm cycle track the hundred or so meters from the Linwood bridge at the rear of the new school is current being worked on. It looks as though drains and perhaps lighting is being installed to help pupils cycling to the new school? Hopefully this should be finished in a couple of weeks with the new surface in place.
  7. I spoke to Morag tonight and she told me that Dennis is stilling up and feeling a lot better but will be in for a couple of days for tests. Dennis hope you make a speeding return to the bike.
  8. Last Sunday was Celine's last run with the club as she returns to Switzerland this weekend. Celine has been a regular with the Sunday butch and has impressed everyone with her commitment to cycling, her fitness and her friendly manner. I know you will all join me in wishing Celine and safe journey home and we hope to see you back with the bunch one day Bon Voyage and bonne chance
  9. Kenny Have drumed upsome support for the event, looks like I may need 7/8 tickets will confirm and pay Teu/Wed when I catch up with you would have said Sunday but my chances of catching you on the Sunday run are very small. Joyce
  10. Stevie If you are starting out from Maryhill are you taking the canal tow path as this does go to Falkirk then you have to change onto the union canal to take you into Edinburgh Having done this route it is not suitable for road bikes, the other option is the Sustrans route which is the old rail line from Airdrie to Bathgate (tarmac)and then though Livingstone

  16. This Sunday 28th August sees the annual Paisley 10K runners road race take place at 10.00am from Paisley Cross. The club has been asked if we can supply a rider to lead out a wheelchair athlete around the course. Club colours should be worn, it will be a nice bit of publicity for the club and support for a good local event. Anyone interested please let me know by PM or on the bunch, I am any at the weekend doing the Pedal for Scotland with Simon, Edinburgh and back so I cannot help out with the 10K. Here is a link to the race route.http://www.kilbarchanaac.org.uk/Paisley ... %20Map.pdf

  18. Darryl I have gotten over my initial disapointment at not at not getting to stay at the Auchrannie Hotel again this year but in looking at the Lochranza youth hostel website I think it looks quite impressive. Come on all the Sunday bunch I recommend this weekend and there are no hills on Arran Have a look at the hostel website http://www.syha.org.uk/SYHA/web/site/Ho ... anzalarge3
  19. Darryl put me down as going but what happened to the Auchrannie Hotel where we stayed last year Is the plan to cycle around Arran and get there using the 3 ferries like last year but a bit more organised than the force majeure we faced when the ferry was cancelled
  20. Who has got the results from Wednesday's TT, could you put them on the bunch Thanks
  21. Joyce and I will be down tonight for part 2 of the chocolate series. Does anyone have a spare set of tri-bars that I could have a go with ,never having used them before, I would not propose to use them tonight but get a bit of practice in with them before next week's race. A sort of TRI before you by Let me know if there is a spare set out there.
  22. Amanda Just come along on Sunday morning 9.30 at the clubrooms at Millar St in Johnstone, there is always a friendly bunch and you can join in. We have a good group of mixed genders so you find someone who will keep you right for the first few weeks. See you Sunday
