Do any of you have a bike suitable for a 6 ‘3  guy that I could get a loan of for a week, please? I need it from 10th July.

Anything will do: mountain, cross, winter hack, hybrid. But not your race bike! Payment in wine, beer or kind.

I really enjoyed the ride this week. Everyone seemed good, specially Karen. Shame I couldn’t stay for the ride to the top.

Don’t think it will make much difference to me as I never bothered with segments. It’s a good way of logging miles and seeing what yer pals have been up to, but that’s about it for me.

Got a pair of good condition Carnacs and a pair of Time espressos with cleats.  Free. Need to be collected though.

Discord was working fine. Ride was good until the game stopped on my laptop. Continued a bit using the App, but in the end had to reboot and ride elsewhere.

How the excuses have evolved. I would have won but:

- my forks snapped and I had to find a blacksmiths to fix em

- my derailleur jammed

-  my chain snapped

- I punctured

- my heart rate monitor said I was on my max 

- my power meter said I couldn’t attack 

- my internet connection failed

Did not get the message to join tonight so had to ride on one of the other routes - Richmond.Not sure what happened but Zwift was playing up a bit.Had to reinstall.

On the subject of chat on Zwift, has anyone used the Discord app? I’ve downloaded it but not used it yet - not 100% sure how to. It would be cool to actually talk to each other n’est pas?

I got an invite I think, but it disappeared before I could sign up. I did leave it until the last minute though.

Rode solo in Yorkshire instead!

Couldn’t make it tonight but did manage 30 mins through rural France courtesy of the Tacx videos.

Alan do you want the use of a proper turbo? I’ve a cyclops fluid (very good smooth feel, and quiet) not now needed for anything. Would stop you falling off! It’s yours for the duration if you wish.

I’ll give it a shot in the slower group. Is that 1 or 2?

Kudos to Darryl who beat me on the hill a few minutes after the club ride.

Also it was quite cool to be passed by Rigoberto Uran. I assume it was the professional. 

Nice ride. Good to ‘see’ folks. I don’t mind either way what we do about the sticky. Perhaps we could occasionally do what Iain did before, ie. sticky ride for 50 mins or whatever and then full gas for those that want to race. I think we raced up a hill the other week.

Cool to see Rigoberto.

As for the the sprint up the hill, Alan,  I’m sure I only got ahead because I had a power boost - or something.
