    July 4th

Should make it out this weekend as it's the first time in weeks i've not been working on a sunday. That's providing I don't get totally mangled on saturday night at one of 2 nights out I might be at
  2. Probably only done about 1200-1500 miles. Campag 9/10 speed freehub - guess it'd take 11 speed too although not 100% sure £150 Will try and post some photos when I get some pics taken

    Pedals

Anybody got any recommendations for pedals. Just broken my third set of Time RXS jobbies this year - jobbies being the key phrase I think. Been using Time for donkeys but they're pretty expensive now and are increasingly unreliable it seems.
  4. Gutted I missed it had wee mechanical just after leaving the house where my pedal and it's axle decide they were'nt up for a day in the saddle and decided to part company with each other. Apparently a common problem with Time pedals going by a wee interweb search.
  5. Wish I had noticed this yesterday. I was out on my tod round Howwood and the likes just about 7ish last night. Ach well one for next week I guess
  6. Reckon I'll try and get along for this, provided I recover from Sunday's run in time Been a few years since I last attempted a TT, probably about 5 or 6. Can't even remember what my PB is for a 10. Is the Chocolate series still run on the Georgetown road?
  7. Deinitely be out this Sunday - will head to the Bridge for 10:00 to shave a few miles off the route for me. Probably see how I'm feeling after Glen Fruin and decide whether to head round the full route or not. Weather forecast for Sunday looks pretty good at the mo - should be a cracking day in the saddle.
  8. Hi Colin I should definitely be out this Sunday.- might head for teh bridge and get the bunch tehre about 10ish I guess No work to get in the wya of other more important things this weekend Cheers Neil
  9. Should be there for 8:30 Cheers
  10. Hi Chung Don't think Largs or Millport is an option for me as I definitely need to be back for 12. Not sure of route right enough - was reckoning on heading down some of the wee backroads owards lochwinnoch/ RNAD etc Cheers Neil
  11. I was planning on heading out myself around 8:00ish as I need to be back home for 12:00 for work
  12. Tom, I think I've got a couple of old Cinelli quill stems kicking about in the shed. I've also got an old Raleigh 501 frame that's been gathering dust at my folks house for as long as I've been in the club practically. Only thing that's missing on it is the saddle but brakes, downtube shifters could be slavaged if you want. My mum keeps moaning at me to pick it up as it's cluttering up her spare room. If you're interested LMK and I cna sort somethign out about getting the bits and bobs to you Cheers Neil
  13. Definitely worthwhile getting more organised for next year. MIght be worth getting a team entry for next year if a few of us are up for it. Thought it was really well organised and the atmosphere about the event on the day was fantastic, especially the locals out on the roads. Managed to get round in 5:04 which wasn't too bad all things considered. Got caught behind someone on the last wee hill from Logierait to Pitlochry that pulled their foot out on the steepest part of the climb and it took a few mins to get going again. Not keen on the official photos though make me look like a right fat bawface.
  14. Chance will be a fine thing of overtaking anyone . Tactics are a la Cadel Evans in Le Tour - sit in the wheels and never attack and then moan that I didn't finish higher at the end.
  15. Anyone else from teh club heading up to tackle it this weekend? I'm heading up tomorrow if anyone's up there for it and fancies a wee spin to loosen the legs on Saturday
  16. Might see if I can earn enough brownie points from the mrs to manage a second weekend away this year. What gear do you reckon to get over the Ratagan climb - my car just about died driving over it
  17. Cheers Billy, Think that'd have made it about 80 or so to Priesthill. Last hill up the house just about finished me off right enough
  18. Thanks for the herlp dragging me back to the bunch umpteen times today guys. Finally got home about 2:30 haven't a clue how far I've ridden as my computer was goosed and I forgot to restart the mapping app on my phone. Anyone know how far the run was from the club rooms and back? Probably won't be out next week as I think I'm on the bevvy on Saturday night. Thanks again
  19. Glen Fruin was great especially the 2 pronged dog attack just after we started descending. i managed to outrun them, Chung got held up View from the top of it was well worth the effort= first time I've ever been up it. Cracking day out and a nice wee 75 miles by the time I got home - roll on nextw eekend and hopefully more of the same
  20. Should be out this Sunday provided I make it back from Edinburgh in one piece on Saturday night.
  21. No probs Grant. Unfortunately I can't get out tomorrow morning as I'm working between 8 & 12 Good luck with your ride tomorrow. Cheers
  22. Hi Grant I should be out on Sunday - weather permitting i.e. as long as it's not lashing down. Don't reckon I'm up to the run the other guys are planning for this sunday plus I need to be back home by about 1pm. LMK what time suits you and I can meet you down at the clubrooms and then head down the track to lochwinnoch and round Glengarnoc, RNAD etc and back to Johnstone via Howwood if you're up for it. Cheers Neil
