Right so... Since I've been away for a week I've lost track of the goings on. How many folks are doing the 100 & how many for the 50? I fancy the 100 but the most I've done this year is 65 in one ride max. What's the final meeting points & times for the runs? I'll have to register on Sunday by the look of it.

Thanks Martin. Ive been informed my car has been booked on the ferry on the condition that the bikes are on the roof (something about the way the boat is loaded) I would just like to avoid cycling from Brodick to my destination if possible. Thanks anyhoo.

Does anyone have a roof mounted bike carrier that holds the front fork with the wheel removed? I'd be needing it tonight or early tomorrow morning, until friday. Its for a mountain bike. Sorry this is very last minute.

Selling my old Bontrager race wheels since i have since upgraded. They have a Shimano compatible hub and rim tape. Never had any bother with them, running nice and true. Black in colour. Any questions just ask. £100

Thanks guys. I see where David is coming from. I usually try and avoid putting it on the roof but sometimes its just easier. I think this subject might be a bit of a minefield. Wish I'd kept the book for my carrier now.

I wondered recently if it's okay to carry a carbon framed bike on a normal roof mounted bike carrier or does a carbon framed bike HAVE to be carried on a rack which clamps the fork with just the front wheel removed?

How is everyone getting there? I'm off work on the 13th so planning on leaving friday morning at some point will we be getting together a JWCC convoy to head up? Never done a weekend away with the club before so i'm hoping i can get to know some fellow members a bit more.
