  1. Excellent. Me and Charlie bought a ticket on the Galeb Express, we decided to alight at Largs and repair to the BB for a coffee which extended to a second coffee, needed time to let the stars stop spinning
  2. - feels painful already - note to self - be careful what you wish for
  3. Well said Iain, Galeb, Alan. There were a number of tension points tonight for sure. Crazy surges in the though and off, roundabout behaviour and pre roundabout behaviour was shocking with a rider in the outside lane blocking cars at the Langbank roundabout ! Bunch split once after Cedric's crash, bunch split again after Houston roundabout with no proper regroup, we had a terrified motorist at Houston roundabout due to rider careering through when others including myself had stopped etc. I say for sure a pre brief next week as there are a lot of new faces. Happy for anyone else to do it but also happy to do it myself as I feel strongly about this. I still think we stick to one bunch, but those of us who are regulars and form the core bunch need to keep the etiquette and if others are not them leave them to it - and tell them. To finish on a positive - at the ramp on to Westferry tonight there was a 2 rider and a single rider who horsed it off the front, however others rode steady and gradually increased pace AFTER we were all on the dual carriageway. I believe this is what we need to do then horse it in a steady line once on the dual carriageway and clune etc.
  4. With the near certainty of a total drenching tomorrow, I have a left field suggestion. Drop in track session from 8-9 tomorrow morn - Russian Steps? I have not signed up yet but if one or two others then seems like a good bet - also only a fiver in the summer !
  5. I was gonna dig out the 20 year old Bio Arms and give it a bash Will struggle to make the counting top 8 in the JWCC squadra but would like to give it a go and good cause anyway
  6. I saw a T Rex joining a banging party on a hairpin in the Alps...….there can't be two so that must be Caravanetto
  7. Chapeau George, just enjoy riding your bike, you deserve it.
  8. Back to usual routine after your incredible feats on the magnificent Isle of Arran No me, going to Spain tomorrow
  9. Hmmmm Flanders, Sanremo, Roubaix for me, in that order
  10. Yip down through Erskine was fine - only a few minutes longer. What happened to you Tuesday Alan, saw you later heading down Gtown?
  11. I have a set of GP4000 x 23c section tyres surplus to requirements. Best price on net is £60. Will sell for the mega ultra bargain price of £40 if you wan them. One tyre never fitted, one used for 2 runs so about 100 miles - more or less new still has moulding bead.
  12. Fantastic effort again Galeb, there is no question you will do this one day
  13. Outstanding effort once again Galeb. Your sense of adventure has no bounds and your resilience with just cracking on is truly amazing. You do really need everything in your favour to do this, when it was done in 2016 there was a puncture on the first lap but it was very quickly fixed and the thing that really made the difference was team support in the pacemaking. Which just makes your effort all the more impressive. Chapeau again
  14. I agree Jan, option 2. Charlie will be especially delighted as it removes the dreaded Bishopton drag
  15. Hall of Fame updated to recognise this magnificent feat
  16. Computer says No. The Garmin computer does not believe it is possible
  17. Truly outstanding Galeb. No one should be in any doubt as to what an athletic feat that is. >5.5 hours hard graft on your own takes a very special effort. When this all started 10 or so years ago I never really thought a single 56+50 would be done, but there you go, I'll need to reconfigure the Hall of Fame with a new column !
  18. Galeb, would love to. Time constrained as you know but will try and join you for a single support. Though I suspect I might slow you down Will let you know. Anyone else for a single?
  19. Hello folks I have a pair of Fulcrum R400DB wheels for sale, these came on a new bike and I used them about 4 or 5 times. They are in as new condition. Best price I can see is £300. You can have these for £200. Tyres and rotors not included ! Thru axle is standard 12x100 and 12x142. [email protected]
  20. As custodian of the Hall of Fame - can I clarify what you mean here Paulino, did you do an SS?
  21. Great job Galeb, well done. And you also did the ride up and back thing so chapeau maybe this will prompt a spate of attempts
