  1. Well the easy start must have worked for Jan who took honours tonight, chapeau that man. I had a great view, Jan went for it, Gregg and Cedric hesitated then went full gas. But too late.
  2. anyone for Tuesday this week?
  3. Agreed Jan, that has to be the most bling bike paint job in the world, it actually sparkles !

Brilliant day at track today seeing the superstars. Capped off when Matthijs BÜCHLI of the Netherlands, just 1 hour after winning gold in the kilo, asked for a selfie with me and Laura
  5. Excellent quartet this morning. Bit unfortunate we got a soaking almost of Thursday night proportions over Loch Thom into Largs. Galeb was not galloping quite as normal today so the mantle passed to the Cedric shafting and the Marc mauling. The 90% outbreak of common sense lasted almost to Kilmacolm then was swiftly binned
  6. Talking to Marc and Galeb about a run on Saturday there was an surprise outbreak of common sense and a proposal to ride it at 90% instead of the customary 110%. So proposal is Whin - Loch Thom - Largs - Fairlie 0830 at BOW traffic lights. Who's up for that.
  7. Well that was a wet one. And a particularly hard episode. Good to see you out Craig, if its any consolation that was one of the hardest this year and a very fast start. Only 7 tonight and only one way to describe it - bawsoot
  8. *&^% and I just paid good cash for saturday afternoon. Wouldn't want to go Satyrday morning anyway - better out getting pumped on the Galeb gallop
  9. 1830 at bus stop as usual. We can invite Sagan, Kristoff and Cav next week as a pre Euro's warm up
  10. chapeau Galeb, just read this and obviously not going to be there
  11. Or not, looking at the mighty grim weather !
  12. Anyone bogging tonight?
  13. Great to see everyone in the sizeable bunch (to begin with) this morning. I had planned to ride as far as Stewarton but will admit to shortening that and turning at Dunlop. I was suffering from acute acclimatisationitis following 2 weeks of 22c at 0630 hrs in the incomparable Costa Bika Not as good as Arran with a decent DA wind though :banana
  14. Ian won the sprint I'm booking the first flight home. (Very well done Ian - Clune and sprint takes a special kind of oldster)
  15. Iain No cheeky comments from me. I still have split personality disorder following the Paul Leavy / Colin McPhee episodes.... Anyway, your welcome to try them, its the new style ones we got a couple of months ago. They are medium.
  16. Saw this on FB. Many congrats Lusia and very chuft for proud parents Kenny and susan. Can't wait to hear about the worlds adventure
  17. I know this is not strictly the Jets forum and I know many of you will have seen this on Facebook but just had to mention a HUGE congratulations to Lusia Steele who has been selected to represent Team GB at the Junior Worlds in August in the sprint. Very exciting trip ahead for Kenny methinks
  18. Had some fun today at Vuelta stage finish in 2015 (Dumoulin) and 2017 (Froome). The 20% slopes are an outrageous way to finish a stage
  19. Not me Galeb, going on a customised training camp to Spain tomorrow. Sole objective is to return fit enough to be able to hang the Galeb Gallop to Largs in August. And to beat my daughter up the Col de Rates after my coming of age (old age) last year
  20. Joined the Galeb gallop today a more in hope as I was running on fumes a bit after a few mini habbles with a rejuvenated John Craig et al yesterday. Lasted about 30 mins, did one 30 sec spell, left Galeb before the whin descent to charge on and do what needs done. Tottled home in granny ring enjoying the balmy weather.
  21. so there 5 this morning and we had a superb meandering run down around Stewarton - Kilwinning way well burst after that
  22. thought I posted this earlier but did not hit button ! Meeting some bog bunchers at 0930 Houston roundabout for Largs run, not clear whether clockwise or anti clockwise. Either way, please join if you fancy this
