Kayleigh
Just a few lines to let you know that I am moving on from the club. I have been offered a place in the Evans Racing Team for the season ahead (and probably longer). I am kind of sad to be leaving the club but I am having to travel all over the place and am starting to need specialist equipment bikes, wheels and that as well as more racing (which my dad tells me is costing a fortune). Evans have made me a fantastic offer and are giving me a great opportunity to develop a bit further in the sport and It would be crazy to refuse this. Apart from the sponsorship deal there are really top quality riders right up to elite level in all disciplines in the team and I will get a chance to learn from them at team events. So when you've gotta go, you've gotta go ! Hope to see you at Bellahouston track when it opens. Bye for now Kayleigh

Members Kenny MacDonald
OH NO another flies the nest Seriously folks , a great chance for Kayleigh to fullfill the potential she has. Unfortunately we cannot compete with the elite high profile funded clubs, and hence the reason we welcome with open arms any chances for our homegrown talent. Somebody asked me what we are doing wrong !!! in my opinion they should be asking about what we are doing well. Its always sad to see riders leave , but as long as its to further their career and to the benefit of Scottish cycling then its the right thing to do. Kayleigh will join the rank of a small band of ex members who currently are riding under different colours but stay loyal and supportive of the JWCC. And should she need a wheel to shelter behind at Bellahouston , Im sure there will be plenty of riders in Blue & Yellow more than willing to lend a helping hand. ps its not all bad news as the next big track star from the Brogan stables is set to be unleashed at Bellahouston shortly and no I dont mean big Jim All the best Kayleigh for the future
