Struggling quite a lot by the time the sprint to Largs started, hence the prudent decision to head up Healie and back via Kilbirnie. Legs are pretty much dead now, but had a good day out and got some real help staying on. Aren't jelly babies marvellous? Have you considered beetroot juice doping? - works for me! Alan - did notice you were leaving quite a gap between you and the bike in front but then you are not getting the full drafting help. I know some people are a bit nervous about sitting a foot from the wheel in front but it makes a difference (unless you are behind Chung!) 2023 Subscriptions Gummers Posted September 8, 2013 2023 Subscriptions Report Share Posted September 8, 2013 Really enjoyed today's ride. 19.2 mph ave by the time I got home and just a tad under 70 miles. Headwind was fun and baiting billy all the way from the Kip was even more fun, even though he punished me on the 30 at Largs! Fantastic to see Mark getting his mojo back again! John was very strong today! Paul looked very comfy and showing some late season form too! Iain and Alan. Very good to see new folk coming into the bunch. I think you'll get more comfortable with time. Just stay close on the wheels and reduce your work output. Looking forward to Paul and Colin's race reports! Ian Dnt run uresel down u did vgood tday so did al Member everyone in the club had to learn and are Still learning so think of today as another stepping Stone to a new level,dnt b scared to ask questions Either no matter how ridiculous u mite think it is, Am still learning from other people in club and a Knw for a fact its helping me, dreadin when al gets a lite fast bike he will b flying!
