Dear all, RSN (Real Soon Now).

I am participating in a sponsored cycle from Land’s End to John O’Groats (28th July 2012 to 6th August 2012) to raise money for Brain Tumour UK.

I am cycling the Carlisle to Alexandria leg on 3rd August (120 miles) and would be really grateful if you would sponsor me - any/all contributions welcome.

I'll confirm once I've done it (photographic evidence can be provided!) and monies can be sent to or collected by me (Mary Ashworth) or Iain Cowden.

Thank-you

Mary

P.S. I do have an official sponsor form but can't work out how to attach it as a link!

LEJOG Update It's Bugs Bunny !

My stage of the sponsored cycle (Carlisle to Alexandria) on Friday 3rd August went really well. Seven riders (+ two support drivers) met up in Carlisle, were on the road for 10 (having been slightly delayed by a cafe doing fabulous breakfasts!) and enjoyed good weather (sun/broken cloud, very little wind and only spotting rain) all day. Our route was cycle route 74 following the A74 - Gretna, Lockerbie, over Beattock Summit, Abington, Douglas, Blackwood, Larkhall, Hamilton, Bothwell, Uddingston and in through the east end of Glasgow, past the Velodrome, though Glasgow Green to pick up the cycle path along the Clyde and out through Bowling to Dumbarton etc. Three punctures all day and rain only started as the group reached their digs for the night.

Many thanks to those who sponsored me - I will arrange to collect outstanding monies this/next week and confirm the amount raised when all in.

Thanks very much Richie - if you let me know what you would like to donate (PM me if you prefer) I'll arrange to pick it up from you this week. I am planning to be over at the Westferry TT tomorrow night to collect some of the other money and don't know if you would plan be there - if not I will make other arrangements.

Thanks again

Mary
