DavieB
This link has been posted on Braveheart and looks reasonably credible (give level of detail) not entirely sure how this would have been leaked so quickly though, or released into public domain? http://online.wsj.com/public/resources/ ... ng0613.pdf This won't be pretty... Committee Alan McLean Posted June 14, 2012 Committee Report Share Posted June 14, 2012 Well if he was juiced up at least he could have had the decency to attack on more climbs. It is a bit weaselly of usada not to give the witnesses details. Lots of allegations but not one piece of evidence yet. (assuming any of the letter is genuine) It is going to be one word against another.
Richie Cross
and it's relating to a couple of years ago? I may have missed something but why now and not back then?
Committee Alan McLean Posted June 14, 2012 Committee Report Share Posted June 14, 2012 The feds have stopped their criminal investigation so now the civil cases can start. There is alleged to be lots of evidence that the federal prosecutors have accumulated which is not usable for a criminal case but may be made available to USADA. Lots of old teammates allege doping, Armstrong et al. deny it. Rest of us yawn. BTW This season he is smashing all opposition at long triathlons and is going for the Kona Ironman, the most iconic IM event. Probably won't win but loads of stories to come! KennyS
Not so sure about Ironman, Alan. Think I read somewhere that he's now banned due to charges
KennyS
Whether you think he doped or not there's a heck of a lot of money resting on this due to insurance policies (betting) taken out on him winning so many TdF titles, etc... Good time to be a lawyer. Where's Charlie?
Guest
He has been banned from triathlons. What happened to innocent until proven guilty?
2023 Subscriptions martin Posted June 15, 2012 2023 Subscriptions Report Share Posted June 15, 2012 Not so sure about Ironman, Alan. Think I read somewhere that he's now banned due to charges from the herald: Armstrong has been banned from competition with immediate effect, including from the triathlons and iron man events he has been contesting since his second retirement from professional cycling last year.
