Thanks very much for timekeeping Jann. Thanks due to Campbell as well for pushing off. Its much appreciated. Hello, beer !!

It was a testing night for it! Well done to Mark, and indeed to us all for going along and having a go. Hello, beer !!

I understand peoples reservations about riding this particular course but would hope to see a few more members out. There was some discussion between us tonight regarding the shifting of the start time maybe to 7pm to accommodate as many people as possible?

P.S. What happened to Ian McG?

Well done all those who turned out on what proved to be another windy evening on the Westferry - more so than last week. Thanks to Jann for timekeeping and Campbell for haudinup duties.

While fully understanding people have other things on - work, family, the boggers and gaun tae the pub, I would echo Kenny's comments regards the numbers turning out. I said last week that the Westferry is no where near as daunting as you may think. Yes traffic is fast but drivers tend to use the right hand lane and don't try to squeeze past. From experience the Georgetown has more inconsiderate road users than the Westferry. The only point where you really have to be switched on is the roundabout turn but correct and early signalling and positioning on the road works well. I know there may be members who perhaps are put off be this and that's understandable but again it's not that much different than the Georgetown, speed apart.

It would be good to see more riders on a Tuesday for the 10s. Even if you are not posting times that will give Mr Peacock et al sleepless nights you will find your performances back on the Georgetown will improve as a result. Having said all that I won't be out next week as I have a date with a plane early on Wednesday morning, some Italian Job in the offing!!! :icon_mooning

Re-curring calf muscle problem, Campbell offered me the phone number of his vet, might take him up on it ;-)
