Tony
As per September runs list: http://bikeroutetoaster.com/Course.aspx?course=296797 45 miles, no cafe stop. This route goes up the Golf Course Road (out of Beith) which is a bit of a climb, but apart from that it's not too lumpy. Expect to be back in Johnstone by about 1230. Life Members chung Posted September 7, 2011 Life Members Report Share Posted September 7, 2011 Tony, Can't make this run as I'm doing the Glasgow to Edinburgh with my son Sean and his wee pal. Looking to do it in a leisurely 8-9 hours given that they are only 9 years old. Have a good one! See you next Sunday! Regards Chung

COLZOR
Hi everyone, Pretty new to all this and was actually looking for the 30 milers but seem to have stumbled upon the 45 milers! Would it be possible for a newbie to tag along on this ride? Not done a lot of group riding but feeling fit and ready to learn from some experienced heads! Cheers Colin

2023 Subscriptions Tom Hill Posted September 10, 2011 2023 Subscriptions Report Share Posted September 10, 2011 I'll be out for this one. Main bunch are now going to Largs which having rode through several times last winter, has lost some of its appeal. Tom
Surly Steve
Hi folks Change of plan for me tomorrow Cameron Diaz has at long last apologised and I told her reluctantly I would take her out tonight, so may not make it tomorrow. If she's not on form or wearing what I've told her to wear I'll probably just stay home with the wife and plan B will come into effect which is to meet Johnny and Willie Cosh and Ian McAuley to cycle over to Lennoxtown to spectate at hilly 25 miler TT. Invite goes out to all other interested Wheelers Stevie
Guest
Stevie, surely you mean Andy Cameron rather than Cameron Diaz?

Richie Cross
Driving rain. Peloton splitting winds. Great! Hadn't been out for a month so really enjoyed it. Wet but warm. The way the weather is going, I'd better get my winter bike built up!!

ferenezejohn
Have done in 5 Shwalbe Ultremo ZX tyres over the last couple of months, so decided to order a couple of Gator skins for road bike, out on X bike today fitted with 2 700x25cc Gator skins, and who was the only one with not one but two punctures today , so all I can say is sorry for the hold ups on such a miserable day. John.
COLZOR
Wow! Found that really tough this morning! Had been thinking I was in reasonable shape but that theory was proved to be well and truly WRONG this morning! Actually really enjoyed it though! Hope I didn't hold you guys up too much! Tony
John there were no hold-ups, only sandwich-eating opportunities Incidentally I'm not a fan of Gatorskins either. It was them that made me start using Schwalbe Marathons. Now that's a proper man's tyre.... Tony
