Hi fellow cyclist
This Is an event we are starting at Paisley Velo.
I thought it might be an idea for us to celebrate the beauty of steel bikes. With us taking our steel bikes on a run to Dunoon on Sunday 2nd June
If you do not have a steel bike try to beg or borrow one for the day. Hence the reason for the notice I am giving you all.
I know that some of you have some old bikes and if it is something you would like to do, at this stage it is only another of my ideas, then it may well be something else we can add to our list of annual events.
We could go really old school and have a drum up as well.
I suggest suggest 2 groups to participate in.The stronger riders could cycle along Loch Eck to Stachur whilst the lesser mortals go via Loch Tarsan
To honour the era of steel bikes Paisley Velo Cycling Club have decided to mark this occasion with a competition
Points out of 10 will be awarded to the rider with the most authentic bike
Points out of 10 awarded to the rider with the most authentic clothing.
Combined points will receive an engraved tankard to retain for the year
I have a couple of friends from the JWCC that have shown interest and I hope it will be a well attended day
Single speed or fixie steel bikes are of course welcome !
This event is open to all cyclists so why not join us for a fun day.

From John and Stevie
Thanks to Dennis and Morag for the super hospitality.
A pity about the foul weather, still good to meet up with with some of the wheelers and others.
Cheers
John.
I'm sure some of your so called clients will be overjoyed your putting in all those extra hours, while the vast majority of them are searching an non existing job market
Everybody's lonesome for somebody else
But nobody's lonesome for me
I shine up my bike and I slick down my hair
Put on my Sunday bib but I ain't going nowhere.
Ben,
Best wishes in your new venture, you must do what you feel is best for you and if you ruffle a few feathers that's life. Paisley Velo, under the leadership of Willie Cosh seem to be putting together a strong team, which can only be for the benefit of cycling in this area.
Good Luck.
John.
George My Dear Friend,
Thank you for the concern, however when you were detailing your own ailments you omitted to mention one affliction, Foot in Mouth.
John.
Good news George, my wife has taken off with my wean, and her sister, for a girlie week in Dubai, I have my boy to look after (a grim task) so therefore tied up till my better half returns on Tuesday. Now as for your insults, even us ex airborne warriors have feelings!
