John Malcolm
Hi there I am very much a novice but would love to join you for a 30 miler on Sunday. If you guys are looking for a fast run please say dont want to hold anybody up John
Richie Cross
Hi, Sounds like a plan. I'll try and find a route unless you know any Al? Don't know if I've missed something apart from the Drumlanrig event on Sat but I'm wondering where all the Sunday run posts have gone this weekend!?? John...welcome to the club. I've not been out much due to knee pain so I just need to turn the pedals for 2 or 3 hours. Don't worry about your pace John. We normally have 3 runs on the go with a gentler pace, club pace and race pace. If anyone drops on any climbs, everyone regroups at the top etc. 0930 at the clubrooms. Miller St in Johnstone John

Richie Cross
Hello Chaps, I will be coming to join you for a wee spin. 9.30am at the clubroom it is! P.S Welcome to the club, John M. Cheers Chung Excellent. With you being a seasoned member, you must know of a few routes?
Life Members chung Posted April 29, 2011 Life Members Report Share Posted April 29, 2011 Hi Richie, Hasn't anyone told you not to follow my sense of directions. (I have known to get lost on more than a few occasion) How are you for time on Sunday? Fancy doing one of the reliability runs, say Moscow (which I think you have done before) or Sinclair street, this means a longer run and over the bridge which could include a cafe stop at Balloch, yeh! Both runs are fairly flat with only Sinclair street being the only upward drag. Can decide on the morning of the run, will go with the majority. Was going to maybe suggest Largs run, but Billy propose doing that next Sunday. Regards Chung

Richie Cross
Chung, Hadn't heard of your sat nav like sense of direction! Moscow run sounds good to me. Think it would be good, roads wise, for the likes of John if he's new to it all? John.....how many miles have you done? The Moscow run is 40 odd miles. Good for everyone else?? Thoughts? Life Members chung Posted April 29, 2011 Life Members Report Share Posted April 29, 2011 Thanks Jan for your suggestion. Looks like Moscow then. Are you ok with that John? If so, See you all Sunday! Cheers
John Malcolm
Hi all First thanks for the welcome. Miles I am ok it is just the pace that concerns me and the thought of holding folk up. I am happy to go for 40 miles. Ta John
Richie Cross
Hi John, That's great. We all had to start somewhere so don't worry about the pace.....unless you have a 5mph average!! Where do you live? Someone might be passing you on the way to the clubrooms for a convoy. Do you know where the clubrooms are ok?
Life Members chung Posted April 30, 2011 Life Members Report Share Posted April 30, 2011 Don't worry about the pace, we will work as a bunch when we ride. You will be suprise as to how easy it is to cycle in a group compare to on your own. Like Richie said, we all have to start somewhere, you won't be holding anyone back. Do you know where the clubroom is? Cheers Chung
John Malcolm
Thanks all I know where the club rooms are. I will cycle from Erskine to Johnstone OK for 9.30 Cheers everyone.
John Malcolm
Sorry folks Perhaps I don't knoe where the club rooms are. Directions from Georgetown road? John
Richie Cross
John, Basic directions from me would be finding Johnstone Railway Station on Google maps and if you leaving the station, you go straight over, first right then along over a few speed humps. Miller Street is about 2 or 3 streets along from memory...it's the signpost with most of the letters missing! If you look along it you'll see industrial units rather than houses and the clubroom is at the end. How you get there from Georgetown Road....er
John Malcolm
Thanks I will find it from the station. John
