Iain Cowden
Just wondered if anyone had any positive recommendations for the above? Mary has been troubled by a knee problem for a few weeks which has eased but not resolved itself thru' rest. The problem is deep in the back/crook of the knee extending down the calf under pressure. No problems spinning along at high cadence but pain when exerting real pressure e.g. climbing or shoving a bigger gear. We are failry sure it is not a positional or alignment issue. Yesterday's Sportive confirmed it is still a problem. Anyway, any thoughts or recommendations would be very welcome. Iain
KennyS
Iain, It may be worthwhile contacting Neil MacLeod on the Braveheart through teh Braveheart forum (user name nmacleod) Never used him but I think a few of teh guys on there have and I think he may be relatively local Kenny
2023 Subscriptions Ramsay Posted September 13, 2010 2023 Subscriptions Report Share Posted September 13, 2010 Ian, If Neil MacLeod can't help or isn't available etc, I have had sports physio and massage at Achilies Heel on Great Western Road. The specialise in running, but helped me through a couple of past problems. R
Tony
You might find these links useful - mainly the second one which has a section dealing specifically with posterior knee pain and its causes: http://www.bikeradar.com/fitness/articl ... ance-17010 http://www.bikeradar.com/fitness/articl ... rt-2-17445 ...then again maybe you're further up the learning curve. Best of luck to Mary in any event...
Administrators Jannza Posted September 13, 2010 Administrators Report Share Posted September 13, 2010 Sports injury clinic at hampden is very good and relatively easy to get an appointment with. Also know achilies heel have several people who are cycling orientated, but I went more local last time.
