KennyS
Due to the extended length of this week's reliability run (70 miles) there have been requests for a shorter run. As such the Thirty Milers will leave from the clubrooms at 9:00am for thirty or so miles on a different route from the main reliability. The route will be around the roads out towards Beith / Barrmill area There will be more experienced riders joining this group to give guidance and advice on bunch riding. More details on the Thirty Milers can be found here http://www.johnstone-wheelers.co.uk/club-info/club-runs A 9:00am bunch is still planned for those wishing to ride in the reliablity. If you intend riding the reliability please post on the West Kilbride Reliability thread http://www.johnstone-wheelers.co.uk/php ... php?t=4793 Any takers for the Thirty Milers please post below

Paul C
I'll be there (assuming I can get my broken spoke/warped wheel fixed on Saturday) Had a very pleasant 37 mile ride with the small group last week. Paul

Tony
Regarding a route: I've seen tractors with snow-ploughs out and about in the last few days but I think there is still likely to be quite a lot of snow/slush on some of the unclassified roads and on the cycle-track, therefore I think we should stick mainly to B-roads and quieter stretches of A-road if possible. To that end I have come up with this suggestion: http://www.flickr.com/photos/46407751@N04/4392876282 It's about 35 miles, with 4 million feet of climbing, 2.8 crap jokes, 6 pregnant pauses and 22 minutes of awkward silence. 2023 Subscriptions P McDonald Posted February 27, 2010 2023 Subscriptions Report Share Posted February 27, 2010 Guys just for info The cycle track at lochwinnoch was covered in snow this afternoon. However the roads around the admiralty at Beith were clear, dry and excellent. PMcD
Kay10ant
Almost made it. Had a soft tyre and by the time I had inflated it desided to try and catch you in Howwood, which I almost did , chased the group from the lights on Beith road to Bowfield hill ( at least I hope it was you lot and not some other random group I was chasing). Where I discovered my soft tyre was a puncture and had to turn back. Hopefully make next week without any problems. K x
