  1. Gave the full carruthmuir a go today on my own 4:09...14 secs off. Wasn't the best wind direction but I think its doable!
  2. Bit long for me...one day...enjoy!
  3. Hey Paul, when do you think you will be back?
  4. We normally go towards Kilmacolm on that road need to find a way to go in the other direction
  5. Another good solo effort. In the headwind towards Largs. With solo rides you tend to have lots of time to think. So thought I would give the Largs to Kilbirnie segment a go with an okish tailwind in some sections. Haylie - didn't go full out knowing there is still a long way to go after that. Top of Haylie - feeling good head down and into TT mode. Downhill section to Kilbirnie - legs spinning out aero tuck and then spin again. Second best...miles off KoM the guy who has it must have been flying up Haylie!
  6. So what segments are we talking about? Can try and include some in the training bunch ride. Not really a bunch the last two weeks...but on occasions there is a good turnout where we can maybe grab some of those KoMs.
  7. The usual... Pacey non-stop 50 miles around the coast. Departing 9.00am from BoW lights (the ones closer to Kilmacolm). Post if you would like to join.
  8. I was there - cheering you from the road side with the kids...
  9. Sounds good so you will have some race legs the week after and you can lead us up haylie - your favourite
  10. Maybe you should train harder then and try giving the training bunch a go
  11. Nice solo ride in sun, rain and wind! Good to see main bunch on old Largs road.
  12. Thinking of doing a similar ride to last week but the other way round. Pacey non-stop 50 miles around the coast. Departing 9.00am from BoW lights (the ones closer to Kilmacolm). Post if you would like to join.
  13. Good right tonight with 5 of to start with then 4 of us to finish it off.
  14. Yesterday with renfrew bunch we just went through Bishipton roadworks was only a small section that was closed.
  15. Will make sure next weeks one is really fast then just for Billy
  16. 3 peaks at the end instead of 4. Decided to miss one to keep the three of us together myself Paul and Simon (new member). Could have been a bit faster but with headwind towards Largs and without Marc we were struggling to keep an Arran pace.
  17. Route for tomorrow; https://www.strava.com/routes/15268744
  18. The usual with a twist (after the complaints I got last week ) Pacey non-stop 50 miles up and down the coast. Departing from Amaretto after club photoshoot. Post if you would like to join.
  19. Good plan Ian. If there is a big turn out with diffetent abilities, how about the following pace suggestion so that people that are full of beans can empty them and others that are not can keep up: - group pace until round about after bishy - skirmish pace until top of gleddoch climb where we can regroup (could be replaced instead of clune points) - neutralised pace from gledoch to finlaystone - skirmish pace from after finlaystone to top of clune where we regroup again - then a fight to the sprint as per usual
  20. Me and Ian at the end into the wet roads. No paceline this time instead Ian suggeated riding two abreast to avoid spary...I thought ok different let's give it a go...we ended up riding two abreast the whole way . Finished with an avg of 20.3mph not bad for basically a solo effort with Ian beside be .
  21. Only light rain...ride still on for Sunday. Dont worry if you can't make it.
  22. Clune for Marc too...Marc domination last night well done Not sure who was behind Paul?
