  1. Ian, I am no TTer but have a watch and will happily freeze my r***s off for half an hour at the side of the A8!
  2. Good day on the bike, 77 miles in total, thanks to all. Headwinds going west from Kilsyth to Strathblane took their toll but you can't beat a dry and bright day in the hills!
  3. Hi Darryl, I plan to be there, see you at the bridge.
  4. Don't be too concerned Andy, Lanterne Rouge is mine, all mine! Hope to be there..... or somewhere near the back.
  5. Waiting for weather to improve... may be several weeks!
  6. Hope to be along for this one, I expect it is out, round the peninsula and back, as no Sunday ferry service.
  7. It was a full day out, full of climbs and fast descents! weather was kind to us and all day breakfast and bike chat for lunch.
  8. Bunch rolling through Kilmacolm on track 0820 - 0830? If so, will get you at Pullman.
  9. That felt as tough as last week yet managed to last a little longer before breaking point (hopefully I didn't hold anyone up getting around the moving road block on hill by Knapps) then maintained a decent solo pace to the end, thanks to all for a good night.
  10. a great ride out today, everyone sharing the duties and well fed in Balloch, Glen Fruin at its best....fun in the sun!
  11. well.....that was everything I expected, and a bit more! cheers 'gang'!
  12. Hope to see you at the bridge Sunday a.m. Iain et al; this is now the ~ 2 April Glen Fruin 'Leg Bender'?
  13. Not much to add, great day out with a great bunch in great scenery!
  14. After nearly doing myself in at Selkirk last weekend I have not learned my lesson, as BoW is now entered! Mrs L says, "are you off yer head?"

Marginal gains Andy, keep it up, stick to your 8 weeks tapering plan!
  16. First go at an Audax event this Sunday 05/03 'Forth & Tay' together with AlanF and DavidC...approx. 130 miles, we'll see how that goes!! Apart from anything else leaving the house before 6.00a.m. seems a bit extreme!
  17. Big thanks to Iain and Billy (& JWCC) for a really enjoyable intro to track cycling, a real 'school ' day for me!
  18. Marginal gains, or should that be losses! Will also be interested Colin.
  19. Great run, wheelers out in significant numbers today, very welcome hot soup and a generous spread of sweet treats felt like a reward for getting out! Congratulations to all prize winners and well done to the 'Masters of Ceremony'.
  20. Should be along for #3, joining the 9.30 bunch, most likely at the Bridge for 10.00
