  1. If you do Erskine on a Monday I may join in, I doubt I would threaten the leaderboard unless there is one for a tree based, bidirectional manually operated food agitator. It would be good to try and get a bit fitter and faster.
  2. White bread for the quicker releasing carbohydrate, fat for slower burn energy, animal protein to start recovery sooner. Just make sure you also add some tomato gel for vitamins for the perfect workout fuel.
  3. I am in Cornwall when this is on, so best of luck to everyone and here is hoping for good weather for it.
  4. Clubrooms 1830 tonight, Wednesday. I will let the others know you may be there, best to get there a little bit early.
  5. Check out the tasters sessions that are being organised, they will be a great way of meeting people and getting to know which group would be best for you to go out with.
  6. Thank you to Eric for his timekeeping and for Iain for pushing off (I told you I needed a big push). Shame that I was tired in my legs tonight after walking up Ben Lomond with my boys yesterday. Congratulations to Ian on your PB, I am glad someone got one. I always feel that it is a bit deflating when no-one gets a PB, even if you are nowhere near yourself.
  7. Aero bars on...but I may be looking to buy a replacement set so if anyone knows of a set going unused then I am interested.
  8. I will post up nearer the time whether I will make you endure an evening with me or a flavoured gin blur of my company after i finish work.
  9. Not the best of runs, but not the worst. Actually it was a bit pants, washed out, grey, saggy bottom and laughed at type pants. I had to slow down for cars at two roundabouts, part of the game but it does knock your attempt at a rhythm. A sapping headwind out and not enough energy to use the tailwind back meant I never really settled into a good place to just keep turning the pedals as hard as I ought to. Just made it under 25 minutes so I will finish my grumbling rant.... It was very good to see a few faces after a while and big thanks to our timekeepers on the night.
  10. I am planning on being there. I have some demons on Arran to deal with, though no where near as nasty as Darryl's.
  11. Just the ticket for me today. Meeting at the clubrooms were Bill, the Cowans, myself and then the Findlays on a proper bike. On to the track where Jane and Graham were only going as far as Howwood. Chris then made good effort to catch up and then on to Lochwinnoch before leaving the track to make our way through the quieter roads to Dunlop Dairy. A return in the rain is always better with good company which was supplied in bucketloads. Home with 86km on the clock and without making my busted knee worse making another excellent outing with the Wheelers.
  12. How about meeting at the clubrooms for Sundays Thirty Milers check out the posts. I got involved/entangled/dependant on the Tuesday night TTs last year. See you out soon.
  13. I have groped and fondled my bike back to its verdant glory but my plinking knee has forced me to be sensible* and go with the thirty milers tomorrow. Have a good run and I will be out to play another day. *A new word for me I had to look up a dictionary!
  14. I will be at the clubrooms for 0900. I think the Dunoon route is too much for my busted knee.
  15. It was nice to pop in towards the end and see you all. Especially nice to meet Sandra, maybe next time on bikes.
  16. I am a maybe, it depends on how I feel after Thursday's crash as my knee and neck and ribs are a bit sore. I may just go with the thirty milers for a gentle outing. I will let you know.
  17. A big woo-hoo for smashing my previous PB by 44 seconds! After a long break away from the TTs I was cycling down in the blustery wind thinking that anything under 18min tonight would be an achievement. Well done to all of the other riders and to Richard and Ian for officiating, especially good to see Ian on the mend after him punching a moving car.
  18. I was hoping to come but I am working. Will it be on until late? I could pop in after I finish.
