  1. I expect to be at Miller St for 09:00 if the weather is not too bad. Route will depend on the weather and on who turns up.
  2. Good run today. Thanks, Mary. Good turn-out for a December morning. Sorry I missed the last bit when Richie punctured. I had just started back up the hill to see where everyone was when Bill appeared, so I carried on with him to the track.
  3. This one could work for the 30-milers too. Options to cut off before Lugton, or Dunlop or do the whole run if the pace is comfortable.
  4. Sounds good, Mary. I should be there. 9 am at Miller St?
  5. Thanks for the form, Alan. I presume we send our own forms in.
  6. Follow the main roads into Glasgow like I did on Sunday morning. As long as you pick a reasonably quiet time and stick to the wider roads where the cars can pass easily, the traffic is not a problem. Paisley Road, Crookston Road, Mosspark Boulevard etc - lots of good roads in the south side of the city.
  7. Bad luck, Ronnie. I guess you've added new meaning to the term 'Christmas Break'. Hopefully you'll be riding again fairly early in the new year and we'll see you out on a Sunday run before too long. Cheers.
  8. Fine solo run today when nobody turned up at Miller St. Bitterly cold early on, but warmed up enough to be comfortable. Headed into Glasgow along Paisley Road, sticking to main roads to avoid any unexpected slippy bits. Hope St, Gt Western Rd, Kingsway, Dumbarton Rd and coffee at Siempre. Back into the centre of Glasgow and home again via Paisley Rd, fingers and toes intact and a balmy 1.5C when I got home, with just over 35 miles on the clock. And that made my 5000 miles for the year
  9. Hi, Ronnie. Last week I did just over 50 miles, some of the others did a bit more, depending on how far they came to get to Miller St and home again. I hope to be out for about 3 hours or so if I don't get too chilled, but I'll try to find a route that has some bail-out options.
  10. I'm planning to be at Miller St for 09:00 if anybody wants to join me. It's going to be cold, so wrap up well. Route will depend on who turns up and just how cold it is.
  11. Good run folks. Thanks for kicking things off, Mary.
  12. Since there's no run posted for the 30-milers, why don't you join in with the Club Run proposed by Mary? If we head out for Stewarton, then you can cut off there or at Fenwick if you don't want to do the full distance, and the pace will not be hard.
  13. Beat me to it, Mary. Weather looks like it's going to be cold and dry with light winds, so we should make the most of it. I'm thinking of trying for the Stewarton, Fenwick, Eaglesham, Neilston run again, but I'm open to other suggestions. Managed a run today after taking the car to work yesterday - first time in a couple of years I've had to do that. How about 9:00 at Miller St.?
  14. I'm jealous - especially now I've seen the forecast for next week. Wish I'd taken the bike to Liverpool now - or come home yesterday instead of today.
  15. Good run today. Weather was kind. Chung, Bill, Graham, Hugh and I went out as far as Faslane, then back over the Glen Fruin road, with a lunch break in Balloch - over 70 miles for me by the time I got home. Thanks for organising this one, Chung.
  16. I'll probably be there tomorrow. I cycle down Dumbarton road pretty often and it's fine for cycling and won't be very busy on a Sunday morning. It's going to be cold, but, hopefully, not wet. Wrap up well.
  17. I'm hoping to be at the club for 9:00, but can't be sure because I have family visiting. Definitely won't be there if the weather is bad.
  18. Great run, Chung. Thanks for doing the organising.
  19. Should be able to make this one, Chung. See you all in the morning.
  20. Good run, folks. Thanks. I had >72 miles on the clock by the time I got home - shows how the 30-milers have moved on this year.
  21. I should be there for this one, but probably just as far as the ferry as it looks like I'll be a bit time-constrained on Sunday. If there's anyone else not doing the full run, I'll be glad of some company on the way back to Johnstone. I've not done much in the last few weeks, so you'll have to take it easy on me.
  22. Good idea, Chung. Normally I'd be up for this one, but I've been off the bike on holiday and gave blood last week, so it's just a bit too much for me at the moment. Hope you get a few more takers and have a good run. I'll probably head out with the 30-milers - with the form they all seem to be in these days, I'll have my work cut out to stay with them.
