  1. Charlie. Sorry to hear that! Very disappointing. Now you'll have time to make my special "healing" recipe Andy
  2. For the record 3) is false! Great day today, JWCC working hard all day, pace definitely faster today (honest!). Feeling the benefit of the faster miles. Lost Gorgeous on Glennifer Braes. I thought the Ice Monsters had got him. Oh how i was wrong. How we laughed. He can finish the tale Monumental effort by Alan to get back on around Inverkip. Andy
  3. I'd like to look European and my wife concurs so that's two votes Andy PS sincerely I'd go for kit even though I'm not at Mallorca. Observations from last year was that kit chat created nice team feel
  4. Hi All Thanks very muchly for all the helpful comments and craic. I've learned about new phenomena (funny cadence), scary genetics (Billy and George) and that one cog is never enough. Going for 48/14 but purchase of 13 and 15. Now, which bike....hmmmmm Andy
  5. George I suspect that when the genetics of funny cadence is discovered it will be proven biologically impossible that Billy is you Nana. Andy
  6. That is most helpful in choosing new steed. Thank you gentlemen. I was tettering between 49/14 and 48/14. My Surly is 49/13 and that is definitely not for the track. I would never have thought George and Billy were biologically related but evidently (and undeniably) they are! Andy

    Turbo drills.

Georgeous I was only 27 when I started this session. I'm turning 45 this week. I keep a 50 / 11 gear throughout then increase resistance on the turbo. Andy

  9. Hi folks! i've reached that stage in life where the very important question of choosing teeth has now arrived and I'm looking for some advice. What the best front rear combination for front chain ring and cog. I found the combo on the hire dolan's a bit light and looking for advice for a track beginner who is well used to riding fixed. Andy
  10. Won't be joining you all tomorrow. Good plan to head into wind. Down the coast it was hard going today. Enjoy yourselves!! Andy
  11. Totally grubbed after excellent bogs bunch today. Improved on last week but still popped a couple of miles out from Lugton. Charlie and Hugh were keeping it mixed up and looking very strong today. Good show from JWCC with Charlie, Hugh, Colin, Ian and myself. Andy
  12. Tu as l'air content! Qu'est-ce qui se passe chez toi?
  13. Je pense il est "le peloton des chiottes" Andy

  17. Thanks Charlie and George. Enjoyed today thoroughly. I never had any fast miles last year going into reliability rides. Hoping to go out with Bogs bunch next week for some more fast miles ahead of February's reliability rides which I'm looking forward to this year. Andy
  18. Bogs bunch was quite an experience! Punctured outside bishopton and had a long chase all the way to Largs. Pace was string all the way to Kilwinning and on the climb out I got dropped which was what I expected. Greg and I worked together back to Howwood. Feeling knackered but good! Looking forward to Accreditation 4 on Tuesday night with Ross and Greg. Andy
  19. Charlie No time to make magic biscuits. They require 24 hours! Shhh don't tell anyone. Meeting George at 940 dooleys. Andy
  20. Hi Guys I'm going to give the bogs bunch a go tomorrow so will miss you on Sunday. Race licence arrived this morning and accreditation 4 on Tuesday. Massacre coming my way Wednesday (as well as tomorrow!) Andy
  21. Hello guys! I'm giving the bogs bunch a go tomorrow so see you in the morning. See how long I can hang on. Crumbs! Andy
  22. Looking forward to Sunday! Andy
  23. 5 1/2 hours battling snow, sleet, rain and wind. Hit wemyss bay and big southerly. Singled up into Largs. Das Bagelhausen put us in our own wee area and offered cloths for faces and über hospitality. Abandoned plan for Kilwinning and headed back up the coast with a refreshing 23mph pace. Back up the Clune Bray then desent down to Kilmalcolm and BoW. Couldn't feel my fingers or remember what my name was by the time I got home but brilliant ride!
  24. Alan, Greg, Hugh, Colin, Ross and Andy all enjoying Das Bagelhausen. 'Nuff said! Andy
