James, I'll echo what Billy said, I am making sure I have my compact on for the climb in the afternoon as I really struggled up that in 2012. For what it's worth it wouldn't be a lie to say the last 5-7 miles(maybe longer) is a real nice decent that you can get a good speed up. Jody

Fantastic run yesterday, with my lack of cycling I was certainly toiling at times but surprised myself at how long I held on for. Charlie thanks for the tow back on at Inverkip ðŸ‘ðŸ‘ðŸ‘. Hopefully this will be a regular thing

Thanks to Jann and John for braving this weather. Safe to say with that time that I thoroughly embarrased myself with my first attempt on the Westferry 😱😱😱(technically it was a PB Al, but that doesn't excuse it). More miles required me thinks. I can def say that everyone else was flying, or at least seemed that way when you all passed me 😂😂😂 Jann I had the 3 quid for tonight and forgot to give it to you, I'll add it to the money for cap and socks when I bank transfer. Hello, Looking to pick up a rear wheel, shimano compatible to take a 9speed cassette or wheel set if I can afford. Not looking for anything spectacular just an old training wheel if anyone has any gathering dust in their garages or sheds. Thanks Jody

Hello, I was not sure who to contact regarding this. My brother in-law is a photographer and has a possible advertising campaign to do which requires a few pictures using a track bike as a prop. I was unsure if it would be feasible but would it be possible for his company to borrow one of the clubs track bikes for 1 day. It would not be ridden in any way and only placed on a turbo trainer to obtain a couple of pictures(which would be superimposed in a track setting later). He was suggesting either a hire fee of around £50 or donation of that amount to the club funds for this. Anyway if anyone can help as to whether this is possible please let me know Thanks Jody

Hello guys, Eventually got a hold of the wife who dropped everything to cone to my rescue. Spent the time waiting for her to google my mechanical problem and online seemed to be saying new frame required 😞😞😞 Posted up on the general section and George has given me an option to try so all might not be lost ðŸ‘ðŸ‘👠Hope you guys had a good day out on the bike, the short distance I was on I noticed that the pace was pretty good(emphasised my lack of miles). Anyway hopefully ill get the bike sorted and get back out again soon. Jody

Thanks George, I'll need to pick up cycling weekly during the week and have a wee look at what they offer. This has made me feel a bit better that there may be something I can do. Had a horrible feeling in my stomach that it was completely knackered with no hope 😱😱😱 Jody

Hello everyone, Just looking for some advice and hoping and praying that someone knows of a fix for this problem. Was out for a cycle this morning and after about 10 miles I shifted the rear mech to the top sprocket, at this time the rear mech hanger appears to have cracked and bent forcing it in to the spokes and completely knackered it. It also sheared off the mech hanger. On closer inspection the aluminium part that joins the seat stays has bent and cracked and I can't see any way of removing this. It looks like the frame (CR1 pro) maybe totally screwed. Does anyone know of this fault or if there are any fixes as I can't afford a new carbon frame for a while. Any help would be great Jody
