  14. Hi Guys, thought we would let you know how we got on in the "novices" one lap race. A select group of 11 lined up at the start at 2.15 pm in brillant sunshine. As this was our first offical race as newbies and getting on a bit, a quick glance at the opposition revealed a few shaven legs and baby oil, suggesting we were in for a tough race. The pace was brisk at the start and we were still in touch after Mount Stuart, but gradually lost contact thereafter. The second half of the race was hard going on your own but it was good feeling being part of race with marshalls, lead cars etc. We did finish, together with Carol's friend Margaret comming in last. Altogether an enjoyable day and in hindsight we probably took on a bit too much by also doing the 10m TT in the morning...I've never seen so many carbon wheels in the one place at the same time. It has given us an incentive to improve over the winter and have another go next year. In the meantime we will be proud to wear the JWCC jerseys if we can buy one. Cheers Dave & Carol
  15. Hi, I've have spoken with Murray of Bute Wheelers and he has confirmed that the Sunday10mile TT has been brought forward to 10.30am. Registration is up to 10.am which means that the first ferry at 8.45am is the only one to get you in on time. David and myself are going to give it a go.
