  1. Could I order a short sleeve jersey with full zip in large please. Graham.
  2. Hi I plan to be out for those one, I have a young stoker who wants to come too so may come by tandem. I suggest a leisurely start at 09:30 as its a short run and the clocks will just have changed! Graham. :-)
  3. I'm aiming to be out for 0900. I've identified a bailout at Cardross over to Renton which would cut the mileage down from 58 miles to around 42. So with a reasonable bunch and a fair wind we might get back to Miller St. before everyone else has gone home!
  4. Not been out for a while, but I plan to be tomorrow. 09:00 for me should be a good run...... Graham.
  5. I'll not be out this week - family duties taking priority this week. Have a good run, I look forward to reading about it. Graham.
  6. Hi Boyd, suggest you meet with the 30 milers at 9:30 and start together - when its time to split there may be others that want to go with you. Alternatively start with the fast bunch and get more intensive exercise!!!
  7. I plan to be out, will assume its a 9 o'clock start unless I see a later post saying otherwise. Graham.
  8. I've not got time for a full run this week so I'll give this a go. Never used this sort of high tech kit before so it will be fun try! See you at 10. Graham.
  9. I'm a bit last minute in deciding but I'll be there - see you at 9:00. Graham.
  10. Have a good run Boyd, but I think it will be to cold for me! I am planning on having a lie in. Graham.
  11. A good ride today, 6 of us (Carol, Dave, Ken, Andrew, Brian & myself) headed to Largs via Howwood, Lochwinnoch & Kilbirnie avoiding the cycle track. After refuelling at the BB headed of up Brisbane Glen and on home. About 50 miles in all, in glorious sunshine and with lots of hill. It was worth getting up for Greig! Now looking forward to next week!
  12. 9:30 It is..... See you there Ken. Graham.
  13. Hi any 30 milers looking for a run this week? We missed a trip to Largs a few weeks ago due to the weather, but we could try it this week if the weather is right. I've not been to the Bagel Basket since the beginning of the season! Graham.
  14. I'll join John and meet the group at Erskine around 9:50. Looking forward to trying out the cafe! Graham.
  15. Just 3 30 milers this morning, Boyd, Ken & myself. Thanks to Boyd for proposing an alternative route: Kilbernie, Beith, Beith Golf Course, and down Bowfield Hill. Around 27 miles Clubrooms to Clubrooms but I think it was enough for us on a wet morning! Hope for better weather next week with a consequential larger turnout. Graham.
  16. I can't do Saturday but I'm keen to do the Largs route as posted by Greig, shame you can't make it Greig. 9 am at the club rooms, please post if you intend to come or I may not go to Miller St. Looking at the forecast, it looks like muddies will get a good test so even if they are not compulsory they can be considered 'prefered'! Suggest full wet weather gear, but hope a few others are mad enough to venture out in the expected rain - looking on the bright side it is due to be warmer than it has been recently. Graham.
  17. Hi I'm in - the forecast is really good so might be worth doing a more adventurous trip? or maybe just a bit further after coffee for anyone that gets the urge! Graham.
  18. Thanks to all who helped with the event, in spite of the autumnal weather it was great fun. I need to do some practice for next year, as my number 15 is not very far up the leader board! Had a nice ride after coffee at Lochwinnoch though when the sun came out. Graham.
  19. Thanks guys for the day out and a bit of racing! I'm sorry to miss out on the drinks - but got home in time for a meal thanks to my getting a lift from Hamish on his way to Aviemore. Hope everyone got back home OK. Graham.
  20. Hi I'll be out for a little gently exercise, and to get some practice in prior to the Rothesay weekend next week! Graham.
  21. Hi Greig, I fancy giving it a go, but I don't know what is involved! Graham.
  22. I'm planning to give this a go, and John Malcolm has agreed to pair with me on it. Graham.
  23. As discussed on ferry last week, I'm planning a trip to Kilcreggan this week. The plan is to leave Miller St. at 0900 as usual and head over the bridge, though Dumbarton, Helensburgh and Gairlochhead to Kilcreggan, get the ferry to Gourock, then back to Miller St. or straight home. The ferry leaves Kilcreggan at 12:39, 14:39 and 16:39 on Sundays, I've checked with the ships master and he says he will have enough space to take everyone! (He has previously had 13 bikes on board, and has room for more. Apparently its quiet on Sundays which will help.) To take advantage of the 30 milers expertise at formation riding and to fit the ferry times, I have worked out a schedule: 09:00 Miller St. 09:45 9m Erskine Bridge 10:15 15m Dumbarton 10:55 24m Helensburgh 11:20 29m Garelochhead 12:15 39m Kilcreggan - Good time for the ferry at 12:39 Ferry tales 15 minutes and costs £2.35 one way. There are cafe options at Garelochhead and Kilcreggan, and after a stop we could expect to comfortably catch the 14:39 ferry, or if we've worked hard and are in good time the 12:39 one. Greenock to Miller St. is 18 miles making the circuit 56 in all. (Well within the usual 30 miles plus or minus range that gives the group its name!) Graham.
  24. Hi, not been out with the club for a few weeks but I plan to be out tomorrow, will meet you at the Pullman pub, Kilmacolm at 9:30. Looking forward to learning about the 30 miler formation riding! Graham.
  25. I'll be along too, weather forecast looks tolerable so should be a good day! Graham.
