Enjoyed this last night and was good to see James and Hamish representing the wheelers.
Sadly,my race ended after about half an hour when I rode head on into a big metal bin...

I think George's spot sounds better than Siempere

There are 2 races in Cumbria in easy reach over the next few weeks.
First of all 20th of July in Greystoke near Penrith and then on the 4th of August in Carlisle. My plan for both was to get the train down as it only takes an hour and both are riding distance from stations with no changes from Glasgow. No preenty required on either and they have a full card of Junior races too.
Also, on the 3rd of August there is a Cross up in Arbedour I was planning on doing too.
Anybody else fancy any of the above?

I struggle with these as well Jan.
Try soaking it in GT85 or similar and taking it off the chainring, then the process described above.
If that doesn't work, buy a new link and split the chain with a chain tool (I may have resorted to this in the past)

Got a pro lite saddle you can have for nowt. Came off Jim's Colnago, nothing wrong with it, I just didn't get on with it.
I'll be over that way on Sunday before we go on holiday and the following Friday on our return if you want it?

Charlie will be using it to hide a multitude of new purchases from the wife.
Or lock naughty children in overnight.

I wish, heading back to work from a fruitless venture to try and get some Hawiian shirts for my holidays
I was spying on you from Bierhall's outdoor section.

Vayer won't reveal his methods of calculation. He reckons he can estimate power to within 2% accuracy, but given the variables (bike weight, gradient, air pressure, wind speed, wind direction) this seems unlikely and as he won't show us his workings, how would we know? I doubt I could estimate most riders weight to within 2%.
In short, it's guess work.

I'll think of you from whatever bar in Ghent I'm in at that point!

From Cyclesport: At a Pinarello Launch in the middle of the Giro before Wiggins ducked out, he apologised for chucking his bike in the Trentino and said "It's not the bike, it's Shimano i'm mad at. If you're going to buy one of these, don't buy it with the electronic group from Shimano, buy the Campag one"

Ouch! My self esteem!
I'm going to develop a serious eating disorder and it will all be your fault Iain. I hope you're happy.

Heartily enjoyed this yesterday, a decent quality field and awesome weather for my first Cross race in 10 years! Got a 7th place and managed to keep it on the same lap as the winners

Sean,
What's the latest on UCI rules, etc....?
Kenny
As I understand it those rules only apply to UCI sanctioned events and, therefore, don't matter for open events under BC/CTT rules.

Following my off at Haughcross last night, I find myself in need of a rear wheel for the crosser, nothing too fancy but must be Shimano 10sp compatible and a saddle (again, nothing fancy required)
What you got?
