  2. Thanks for the feedback Richard. I have swopped over Hamish's road stem (70mm) and we will see if that makes a difference. J
  3. Sorry, count me out for tomorrow, but would come along another time. J
  4. Hi, I'm needing a short stem for Hamish's cross bike, maybe 32mm long would do. Needs to be for oversized handle bars (32mm diam). Either sale or loan would be good. He pulled out of his last cross race with a sore back. Don't want that to happen again. Thanks, James
  5. Hi, I would happily come along for some training/practice. Hamish and I are entered into the race at Callandar Park, Falikirk. Looking forward to it. James
  6. What time would that be? 6.30 pm? I'll come along if it is on. J
  7. Hi Kenny, Does this mean that Hamish is the Under 12 Boys Scratch Race Champion as well as Under 12 Boys Omnium Champion? James

  11. Hi, That was a bit disappointing for me, my time was 30.04 according to Strava. That is my 3rd best time. The outward half was the killer as I got PBs on the return leg. Regards, James
  12. So, a PB by 10 seconds is better than none See me? See happy?
  13. Thanks Ian and Jann. PB for me Interestingly, I was over a minute slower than last week on the way out, so I guess the wind was a hindrance and a help on the way back.
  14. Many thanks Jann. Hope to see you all at the next one. J
  15. Where do you meet for this? Am hoping to come along.
  16. Hi Carol, Sounds good. We will be staying for Friday night on the Ripon Road (not literally) just outside Harrogate, then heading further south on Saturday evening. I will look out for you. I see Colin and Amy Howard will be about there as well. James
  17. Oh, and we might get to see some of Stage 3 if we are lucky
  18. Hi, Anyone going south to see Stage 1 or more of the TDF? I was wondering if anyone had sussed out some good spots to see the action, and if it will be possible to move between locations? The finish in Harrogate is probably the best spot, but will there be time to get there from a spot earlier on? Hamish an I hope to see some of Stage 1 and will be taking our bikes to move around on. Hope to see some of you there. James
  19. Hi George, Thanks for the info. Council are aware of the condition of the road surface and will be undertaking some repairs to the area over the next couple of months at this location and in the mean time will ensure that it is kept in a safe condition. So they say Hope this is helpful. Regards, James
  20. Good ride had by all. Must have been a hundred people along to join me in the ride!!!!! (I wish) Approx. 26 miles, average speed of 12 mph with a fair bit of mooching at Renfrewshire’s problems J
  21. Hi Guys, Since our first trip went so well last week, I thought I would try organising another ride this weekend and suggest you come along with me on Saturday afternoon for a trip out. Any takers? Also open to intermediate riders to come along and if people turn up of different abilities then we can split the group accordingly. Route to be confirmed, but starting 14.00 from The Pullman Pub, Kilmacolm, not the Club rooms. Handy for the cycle track and parking if required. Just as a guide, we covered about 20 miles last week averaging about 11 mph, tending to hang back for the slower riders. Weather again looks dry and not too hot. Please post if you are interested or just turn up. Regards, James
  22. Yea, we must do a Saturday afternoon run again, soon..... See me? See happy?
  23. Hi, my suggested route is: Kilmacolm to Pt Glasgow, down Clune Brae, half way down turn right onto Old Greenock Rd, take this to Langbank then up Netherton Rd, back into Kilmacolm on West Glen Rd, out on the Kermesse loop, down to Lochwinnoch, then back road to Kilbarchan, back into Bridge of weir, then choice of Warlock rd or cycle track back to Kilmacolm. What do you think? James
