Elaine and I are planning to ride up to Glasgow to watch the big event in this years cycling calendar were going to be leaving from Barshaw park at around 09.30 if anyone wants to join us our plan will be to go to the start/finish area and cycle around various parts of the course to take in some of the action.
Please post below if you want to meet up so we dont go without you

Good bunch of 8 left Miller st and it was nice to go over some old roads for me on the way to the best village in the world See me? See happy?
Good company and i suppose i better include Stephen in that as well even after his derogatory comment about my Neilston he will be hunted down next time RSN (Real Soon Now).
Nice cafe stop at the local chippy before heading back out to the warm sunshine ( It always shines up there unless its snowing in July )
Now sitting with an ice pack on my calf and hamsting possibly 1 hill too many for me
Was it just me or was the pace higher than normal ?

Nae luck Chung hope your back sooner rather than later
If Carlsberg sponsored cycling clubs i dont think they would chap our door but at least we have a good nhs
Great run with good company and fantastic weather
Large bunch of 11 headed for the coast via Kilbirnie nice coffee stop and the now claimed 30 miler Bagel Basket where we met the main bunch famous 5 , out numbered they finished their stop early as we invited them to leave cause we wanted the table they were sat at
Allan was a bit tired and decided to get the train home fair play to him for making it to Largs after a long lay off the bike
We finished our 4 course lunch and headed towards Greenock and i have to say when i got to the rear of the bunch what a sight it was watching everyone ride together and in unison some idiot drivers out on a Sunday but we can live with that. I think the point has been proven that riding properly makes us all a little faster and safer well done everyone
Big thanks to Elaine M for the route i really had fun on my bike today See me? See happy?

The club are thinking of hosting a BBQ for our members at muirsheil country park on the above date at 2pm
I think the idea would be go for your usual run and all meet at the park afterwards for a fun day and a bite to eat you would need to BYOB or soft drink the club will supply the food etc cost pp would be £5 and this is open to all including the jets
Please post if your interested to give us an idea of how much food we need to get
Thanks Greig
Tim while there's no doubting your a fit guy the 30 milers have worked hard over the last couple of years to ride as a bunch and it has been working . Yes I agree you might need to learn how bunch riding benefits everone maby this is the wrong bunch for you as we are a bit slower The intermediate are there just needing someone to post runs for them why not try them or the main bunch as for Thursday night put a post on and see if anyone is available.
