  1. A lovely run. Rain stayed away. Nice cafe stop at the dairy where we 6 had the place to ourselves! I need to do more club runs - much more enjoyable than solo stuff.
  2. Struggling with a man-cold but I will make the effort for this one! See you at 09:30
  3. I have joined new and left old.
  4. Weather looking balmy tomorrow (10 C!) and dry. Anyone interested in 50 - 60 miles run - meet on blue bridge at Kilbarchan 10:00. Possible route: Neilston, A77, Kilmaurs (cafe stop), Kilwinning, Lochwinnoch. RSVP
  5. Yes, Iain, it was a real struggle to hold in the 'all-inclusive' stomach. BTW- the hired bike was KTM Strada 2000. Alloy frame and a triple on the front! Oh the shame of it!!!!! But seriously, a good sturdy but heavy bike.
  6. Good temperature for cycling (23 - 24) but very windy. No need for a winter bike!!
  7. LOvely run in the sun this morning! Morna, Carol, Dave, Ross, Alan and me. Plenty of chat and a cafestop at Dunlop Dairy. I tacked on an extra bit at the end to get the weekly mileage over 100!
  8. I will meet you on Kilbarchan bridge at 9:40.
  9. Hi, Graham, Largs/Brisbane Glen OK for me. I can tack an extra bit on at the end! I asssume you are coming down the track towards Lochwinnoch. What time to meet and where?
  10. Weather forecast looking reasonable so thinking about a run to Sorn via Fenwick/Galston. Cafe and then return via Dundonald. Meet on track Kilbarchan bridge at 9:30. RSVP
  11. Sorry, Graham, I have to withdraw from this venture - now on babysitting duty!!
  12. Hmmm - Andy I will be 75 in 2026 so don't think I will manage it!!
  13. I'll give it a go - weather permitting! Like Len I will start from Lochwinnoch and cycle to the ferry. About 20 miles? Eric - good advise about Cal mac. When we know the numbers nearer the time we can give them a call. Didn't have a problem last time. Sunday morning not so busy.
  14. Lovely run to Troon. Long route via Galston and Tarbolton (see Strava). Disappointed that the Blueberry Cafe wouldn't serve me a hot filled roll cos it was after 11:30. Went next door (The Coffee House) and had the biggest scrambled egg roll I've ever seen! As I came off the track at Howwood Emma was passing by so we shared the route for a few miles until I turned off for Lugton.
  15. A bit late to post but weather looks fine and dandy for tomorrow. Heading for Troon if anyone interested. Meet top of Bowfield 10:00. RSVP
  16. Heavy rain started 5 minutes from home - good timing!! Parted company with the bunch at Fintry. 75 miles - a good run for me!
  17. I don't think I will manage full route so after Fintry will head for killearn.
  18. hi, chung, See yo at Bridge :9:30. If anyone coming from Johnstone I will be passing the Houston roundabout bustop at 9:05 (+/-) but not stopping (Ryan)
  19. Met Chung at Craigton Road end and headed for Fenwick. Moscow and then cafe stop at Whitelees Wind Farm. Return via Newton Mearns (where Chung peeled off home) and I continued through Barrhead, Elderslie to LW. 65 miles and very warm!! Very dehydrated when I got home! Nice to have company part of the way.
  20. Graham, can't make Friday. I'll go tomorrow afternoon. Need to change BB cos it was making horrible noise yesterday.
  21. I'll let you know about Friday.
