  1. Two months too early or I'd have it!!
  2. Altitude training plus red wine to increase red blood cell count. Probably lose an equal amount of brain cells but since we only use about 10% of those I reckon there will be enough to go round. Tom
  3. On the piste for the next two Sundays......... A little bit of cross training. Tom
  4. Glad to see you are still breathing James! When do you plan on gracing us with our presence Tom

    Nove colli Top

Richie We are all so white underneath, it won't matter Just to confirm, one of each for me. Tom
  6. I should be okay for the 28th, travelling down on the Saturday. I am with the Aussie - the Nove Colli will be easier than this route. Tom

Billy First attempt at Wilts. Me no like!!! First problem was guessing ftp as I had almost a straight line from the Conconi test, although there was a slight dip at 260W. Hence I chose 270W. I only made 2 1/2 minute into the 16 minute interval before multiple organ failure caused my legs to stop turning. I am glad this is only once a week!! Tom
  8. For sale One pair of Endura Stealth-Lite Unpadded Bibtights, Black Medium. I bought these in September before I started training for Italy. I wore them once in between Christmas and New Year on a bunch run only to find that they are marginally too long in the leg. I am 5'9" with a 31.5" inside leg. I would suggest these would better suit someone with a 32-33" inside leg. They are fully waterproof with welded seems. I have had the Endura Stealth jacket for four years and it is a great bit of kit. As waterproof now as it was when new! Cost New £105 Will sell for £70. Tom
  9. I am wimping out as well. Been out and felt unsteady. Might have been the knee and confidence but I am skiing next week and decided not to risk it. Have a good one. Paris Roubaix on the turbo for the next three hours. Tom
  10. Like I said Paul, I have the pro windtex and it is very very good........probably the best bit of kit I have.......... Given I live in Scotland! Tom
  11. Weather permitting I aim to be at the club rooms and see how it goes......... even if it's only back to Langbank. 9:00am? Tom
  12. Martin My only issue is that Lewis does not provide enough of a wind break when he is in front of me!!! Tom
  13. 1 x Pro bib shorts 1 x short sleeve top 1 x long sleeve jersey. 1x kit bag All in size medium. Thanks Tom
  14. Like you Davie, mine literally came apart at the seams. However they were also binned before I had a chance to return them. So new shorts for me. On the quality side, I cannot fault the pro windtex jacket. It is a shame the shorts were so bad. I only wore them about four or five times. Tom
  15. I had a similar problem with the server. Rules are rules however. Dock him Oberfuhrer. Tom
  16. I'll be there Thursday then. Might even have a go on the turbo. Tom
  17. You worry to much Richie. You should adopt a more relaxed turn up and ride approach. .......Although that has been known to cause me the odd directional issue! You are just as capable as anyone else. The best part is what goes up must come down Tom

Martin That made me laugh. cheers!! Ramsay I can't believe how quickly it is healing. Training now being resumed. Wound has almost stopped weeping. I did 20 miles on the turbo and pushing it yesterday and my leg feels much better today. Still a little stiff in the morning but that and the range of free movement also improve daily. Hoping to be out on Sunday Tom
  19. Thanks George. I am happy to drive down. At present can take 3-bikes on tow bar. Could be four if front and rear wheels are removed. Tom

Saturday the 14th was a good day....... if your name is Tom Hill anyway. 6 days in and 6km on turbo. I wasn't pushing and it was not exactly comfortable but it was not too unpleasant either. If you had told me last Sunday night that I'd be on the turbo on Saturday I would have had you committed! Tom
