  1. Evans Cycles are running a deal on 1/2 price Specialized inner tubes this week only (until 9th) discount code is NYDTUBE or see http://www.evanscycles.com/uploads//NYDtube.JPG to download and print a voucher. New deals on every week.
  2. Just a couple of fotys from Sundays adventure
  3. Kenny I'm not being pedantic, can you be more specific, I am totaly open to a route.
  4. Billy we don't need to know what was slippy in some BRAS. I'm up for some offroad, any route would suit. The run that Chung and I did last Sunday is good, not to technical but a bit short.
  5. Assos chamios cream and knee length wool socks. The socks are good for cool days under longs, the creams good all year,
  6. Tony our run was just like that, in our little world (lol) plus we had a frozen lake at the end of our ride in Robertson park. Can you give us any other local routes, I thought this one was a little tame in the direction that we rode it (west to east).
  7. Mtb option could be above Lochwinnoch, 2 routes 1st from Muirsheild centre in the hills (old mine workings, retrace, then shooting path) not to technical perhaps and mostly dry just now but no bail outs that I can remember except at the end of the retrace form the mine. The other is up past Lochwinnoch cemetry to Muirfauldhouse farm and out over the hills to Misty Law then back in via the Maich water and Ladyland farm, down to the track then into Lochwinnoch. This one will be quite technical and possibly very wet with no bail outs. See google earth for both these trails, they should be quite easy to find and follow on the aerial photos if your familiar with the area. I've been told that there are rideable paths in the woods at Barnbrook on the Kilmalcolm to Lochwinnoch road, but looking at a map unless they go into the woodland there not very long. Tony C. posted a route above Johnstone a couple of weeks ago (Sun 6th), and knowing him it should be intresting-- Miller St to Auchenlodment Rd Brandyburn path up to Gleniffer Braes singletrack to Robertson Park, then onto Tannahill Walkway Glen Park landrover track up to Brownside Braes left then right, past reservoir back to Tannahill Walkway Robertson Park left on the B-road, minor rd to Mid Hartfield, then onto cross-country path downhill to Howwood cycle-track back to Miller St Plenty of bailouts on this and not too technical should be prety dry as well Have a look at them and post any comments.
  8. Got this thread a bit late whos going on the road and whos going turboing?? Cant make up my mind!

    Sunday 21

The hungry ones more or less followed this route along with a prospective new member (Mark from Kilbirnie, who will hopefully be out with the bunch next Sunday) after leaving Lochwinnoch. Good run on a good day with some new roads for me and one or two others.

    SUNDAY BUNCH RIDES

I was talking to Billy on todays run and want to lend my support to his proposal. I will post one or two options later, but for now lets see how this runs.

    Sunday 24th

Paul, count me in, see you at 9
  16. Ken thanks for a good run. Greg good job the UCI dosent have a test for your "energy sticks" otherwise a lot of the continental riders would be banned or suspended due to 2nd hand usage. Ha Ha
  17. Tony this run looks good, see you at the clubrooms at 9 Martin
  18. David Sorry for an answer at short notice, what about Clubrooms at 9 then follow our noses West? Martin
  19. Tony, Thanks for a very good route today, roads I never would have known existed. The guy we lost was unfortunate but perhaps better on the first hill, than have him blow up half way round.

    Sunday 25th

I sent Dave a text this morning and got a reply so he is alive . He has what looks likes quite a bad gash on his right knee from where he fell on to the rear of a car while trying to squeeze through traffic that was stopped at the set of lights at the bottom of the Haylie Brae. Phoned him and he says is fine and well.
  21. Paul, I would be up for a moderate pace as I've not turned a pedal for about a month if thats OK with you. Martin
  22. I've been out of circulation for a while and wonder if any date has been set or if I've missed this night ? Martin S

Jim are cyclists not seen as a little weird already by most folk without looking like these guys? Martin
