  1. Sorry guys, I’ve got a night out so will miss tomorrow. Have fun.
  2. Thanks again to everyone for waiting on me, hopefully I’ll be keeping up in a few weeks time. Thoroughly enjoyed today, the banter, catching up with old friends and the coffee/cake. see you next week cheers
  3. Big thanks to everyone for waiting on me, really appreciated and still had a great run and coffee stop even if the wind was ‘interesting’ at times. I’ll get out myself this week and hopefully be bit fitter next week cheers
  4. I’m still keen. Martin see you 9:30 clubrooms cheer
  5. Hi Dave, just rejoined after about 9 years. I’m up for run on Sunday, fitness not great but will hang on as best I can. See you 9:30 Sun at club rooms. Cheers
  6. Boardman Pro 29er Mountain bike. 2015 model, see specs below. Medium size. Saddle height setup for me at 5’11”. Bike only used 6 times, so in immaculate condition. It has a KS Lev DX dropper post (at extra cost, see below) and will come with standard post too. I’ve not removed the dropper as the cable has been routed very neatly under bottom of bike and up down-tube with other cables. The tyres still have tiny wee nobble lines on them as in photo, showing how little use it’s had. I’ve put slime inner tubes on bike too. I bought a fat bike quite soon after this one, hence lack of use. I’m looking for v near £400 without the dropper post or £525 with the dropper, as Dropper costs over £200 new. 12. Hi Al, Do you still have the Track bike for sale? I just posted looking for one and ideally want a steel frame. Cheers Al.
  13. Hi, Just starting cycling again after 4 knee operations , and now passed the velodrom accreditation and looking for a track frame. Ideally an old steel frame (just love old style frames) but will consider anything. 58cm is ideal size but I'm assuming up/down slightly will still work!!! I already have everything else (wheels, cranks, etc) and budget limited to around the £100 mark. Anything going? Cheers Al.
  14. Bike is still for sale, if anyone interested. Paul - thanks for asking your neighbour, before he saw the bike he decided to buy a new one. Thanks anyway.
  15. Hi, Selling on behalf of brother-in-law. Specialized Alley Sport Bike is approx 6 years old but only used approx 3,000 miles. Great condition in a metallic silver colour. All gear as standard with the bike and only a few marks at bottom forks and on brake levers due to a beginner with clip-in pedals (it was funny at the time ). Happy to sell or swap for commuter/tourer ideally with 700 wheels for light touring. Spec below: Size L (suit 5' 7' to 6' 2" roughly as long seat-post). Tiagra all round Triple chainset (think it's 170 cranks) 9 sp standard cassette Tiagra brakes Talco GX460 wheels Conti Duraskin tyres Specilaized saddle, stem, bars The bike doesn't have eyelets for mudguards or a rack. I'll try and post some pictures, or can email them to you. Looking for £250 ono. Call or text Al on 07740832825 or pm me. Thx, Al

  17. hi guys, sorry for delay in replying...but i'll be at clubrooms 9.30 and well looking forward to run tomorrow. don't worry about the pace, chung is like a snail and always brings up the rear yeehaa cu all 2moro al
  18. hi richie, i'm up for a wee blast this sunday. what about meeting 9.30 at clubroom? thx al
  19. thanks for all the advice guys. i'll check the FM, i'm pretty sure it's not braze-on. i've been offerred a 27 cassette, so might try that first to see what difference is to the 25. but it's obviously not gonna make huge difference. haven't decided what cols we're doing, but as big Dave P is organising it and he's booked on l'etape this year Alpe d'Huez will be a defo. he's gonna be on a 34x32 set-up so if i don't change things he'll be sitting spinning away next to me with a big grin on his face saying "...i told you so..." i might put a Wanted post on buy/sell for a Compact, but i know they're like gold-dust normally. big thx al.
  20. sorry forgot to add. cassette is 12-25 with a dura-ace deraillier, so wonder what the max it will take as this might be an easier/cheaper option. thx
  21. hi folks, i'm currently using standard 39-53 and really like 'grinding' up hills (not found a hill around here that i havent made it up yet). however i'm cycling the Alps for a week in June and worried that i'll really struggle on some of the bigger hills (i've never cycling in the Alps before). any advice on whether i should change to a compact or not would be really appreciated. also if i should change - can i continue to use my Ultegra front mech (it's being used with RaceFace Cadence chainset) and my shimano BB or do i need to change the whole shooting match? big thx, al
