I can go through a set of block in 2 weeks if the conditions in the winter are right lots of grit and wet roads produce a great grinding past for rims and the block wear. I am doing about 150 miles a week in and out to work just to give you an idea. I would recommend Aztez Blocks & insert for summer & winter as you get a great feel from them and they do not tend to snatch in wet weather. Dooley’s sell them. Campbell

The 2up Championship used to be held midweek and it was say held on the Second last Tuesday in September and if the weather was not good it would be postponed a week (were going back a bit in time here). It keeps it away from Bute weekend, September holiday weekends. Just a thought Campbell

I use Continental GP 4-season tyres 23mm on my work bike all year round and I can count the punctures in one hand for the year and I am doing around 7000 to 8000 miles in and out to work. The only time you tend to get punctures is when they wear thin near the end of there life so its time to change them. Campbell

I will be there. What time are we being set off and is the start under the railway bridge at the Bishopton end of the 10 coures. Haven’t done a 10 for 3 to 4 years so this will be a shock to the system so it’s a pb for me tonight, if I finish. Campbell

Will keep an eye out for you all looks like the weather for the day will be not too bad I am doing the ride with people from my mountaineering club that fancy doing a bit of cycling in the summer to keep fit. I will be cycling down and up to the start, so you may see me on the road there, if I am running late.
