And yes, it was defintely Alan, described later in hotel as Chirpy Scot. The main reason is that he was going so slowly, for him, that hte had loads of energy in reserve unlike the rest of us!
Of course, he did almost break his hip at the bealach, heaven knows how fast he would have been otherwise. Alan, thanks for keeping us company at our pedestrian pace.
